Dinner

Y/n's POV

Is it normal to be this nervous? I mean when you get invited round to Hailee Steinfeld's house I guess it is. I don't even know what I'm nervous about to be honest. "Okay here we go." I whisper to myself as I pull into their driveway. 'Holy crap this is actually happening' I think to myself. You got this Y/n, it's just Hailee. I walk up to the door, more nervous every step. Eventually knocking, the door opens to the warmest smile from Hailee. "Y/n hi! Come in!" She says with the biggest smile still beaming across her face. "Hey Hailee! Your house looks amazing!" I tell her whilst taking it all in. "Please call me Haiz, I prefer it more than Hailee" She tells me. "Alright then, Haiz" I say whilst smiling at her.
We locked eyes for a moment until I hear footsteps coming towards us. I turn my head and see her brother. "Hey Y/n it's so good to meet you!" He says whilst pulling me in for a hug. Are all hugs this good or is it just a Steinfeld thing? They show me to their kitchen and we all sit and talk for a while before we decide to order food. "What do you want to eat? It's on me" I tell them both. "Don't be ridiculous, I'll pay." Griffin says with a smile. "You sure?" I ask him. "Yeah don't stress about it." He happily tells me. "Thank you honestly." I smile back. "You guys wanna watch a movie whilst we wait?" Hailee asks, looking at us both. "Yeah sure why not" I reply. We make our way to the couch and sit down before choosing a movie to watch. Hailee makes her way over with drinks and snacks and sits down next to me smiling. "What ya got there?" I ask, looking at all the snacks. "I don't know I just grabbed everything i could see" She says whilst laughing. Around half an hour later we hear the doorbell go. "I'll get it!" Griffing jumps up and runs to the door, before returning with pizza's and nachos. "This smells so good" Me and Hailee say in unison. We turn to eachother and smile before taking a slice.

Hailee's POV

About an hour into the movie, I notice Y/n starting to fall asleep. I lay down a little so she it comfortable and eventually, she drifts off, leaning on my shoulder. I can't help but smile. After the movie, I slowly stood up not waking Y/n and make my way to the kitchen with griff. I can't help but sit there and smile to myself. "What's got you all smiley?" He asks. "It's nothing don't worry." I try to convince him. "You know you can't get lies past me right? I haven't seen you this happy in ages. Then you met Y/n and you're all smiley." He whispers, making sure to not wake Y/n. "I don't know it's just... I know it's stupid because I only met her today but I already feel complete when I'm around her. She's funny, she has the biggest heart you could ever imagine Griff and yeah she makes me so happy." I just let it all out in front of him. "It's not stupid at all Haiz, yeah you only met her today but there's nothing wrong with feeling happy. I'm glad she puts a smile on your face I really am. I'm here to support you no matter what." He tells me. I can't help but smile at the thought of her.

He pulls me into the biggest and best brotherly hug ever. "Alright I'm gonna go bed, night Haiz." He smiles at me. "Night Griff." I smile back. I walked over to Y/n still sleeping on the couch, deciding to wake her or not. Eventually I decided to leave her be and I pulled a blanket over her so she doesn't get cold.
"Goodnight Y/n." I whisper before walking up to my own bedroom. I turn on the shower before getting in, then drying off and walking to my closet. After getting dressed into just a hoodie and some shorts, I felt a little hungry so I decide to go get a snack. I see Y/n grabbing her keys off the table. "Hey where you going?" I ask. "Home Haiz, it's 11pm." "You can stay here tonight if you want to? I know you're tired and the roads can be dangerous at this time of night." I tell her. "That would be great, thanks Haiz" She smiles and pulls me into a hug. "My room is just upstairs to the left, go grabs whatever you want from my closet. You're still in your work clothes so that can't be comfortable." I say. "Thank you" She says with a smile.

Y/n's POV

I make my way upstairs, bumping into griffin along the way. "Sorry I didn't see you there" I apologise. "It's fine don't stress about it, you looking for Hailee's room?" He asks. I nod in agreement. "Just up there" He points down the hallway. "Thanks Griff" I smile and make my way to Hailee's room. I open the doors to her closet and holy shit, there is so much to choose from. I end up putting on an oversized shirt and a pair of shorts I found. I make my way downstairs to see them both in the kitchen. "Hey." I say walking to them. "Looking good Y/l/n!" Hailee says playfully. "Why thank you Steinfeld, is there anything I can eat? I'm starving!" I reply. "Take whatever you want, whats ours is now yours." Griffin tells me."thanks Griff" I smile. I grab some snacks from the pantry and sit on the kitchen counter. We all sit and talk for a while before we all start to become tired. "I think I'm gonna head up to bed" Hailee says through a yawn. "I'll take the couch, see you both tomorrow" I say with a smile. "Y/n don't be silly, come on you can sleep in my bed, it's big enough" she exclaims. "Are you sure?" I ask just to be certain. "Of course it is don't worry" She says reassuringly. We both head upstairs and I tie my hair back into a messy bun before laying down. "Goodnight Y/n" Hailee whispers as the turns the light off. "Night Haiz" I start to drift off.

Authors Note: So. Dinner went well, we met Griffin and ended up staying over. What will happen the next day? I guess we will have to wait. I hope y'all are enjoying this so far. Part 3 out soon <3
