Chapter 3: The Chase is On!
Ash's Point of View
I got up on my hind legs, holding Misty's paw. She got up a few heartbeats after me. I put my paw to my lips. "Shhh." Then we ran to Snowfall's front door and knocked three times. "Coming!" Snowfall called. I heard the Orb roll a little, Snowfall cursing under her breath. Finally, she opened the door and jumped, suddenly to see me. She stood on her hinds too. "A-Ash, what are you doing here?" she stammered. I could tell she wanted to tell me about the Orb, but didn't go for it. I smirked. "I just wanted to give out a warning that the Orb of Protection was stolen about -" I looked at my watch Misty had given me -"About thirty minutes ago," I told her. Snowfall blushed when I spoke about the Orb. "O-oh, I-I h-haven't seen it," she stammered once again. Liar, I wanted to snarl. Suddenly, I heard a tree fall down. I whipped around, seeing that a tree had fallen down. "The third sign," I whispered. Did I forget to tell you, reader, that the second sign was trees and stuff nearly completely ripped off while we were spying on Snowfall? Eh. I heard heartbeats beating faster and faster. I could tell it belonged to Snowfall. I turned around, seeing Snowfall stand there. She was holding the Orb of Protection in her paws, and tears were rapidly running down Snowfall's cheeks. "I'm sorry," she whispered to me. "I'm so sorry. I just didn't like this place, and I thought that this universe would be replaced by a new one." Then she started running on her hind legs. "Stop!" I screeched, following my best kittenhood friend. I felt Misty following me. "No! I'm going to destroy this Orb! It means nothing to this universe!" Snowfall shouted back. I felt myself stop abruptly in horror. Destroy the Orb of Protection? I shook my head and kept going. Suddenly, I saw a blurred blue shape hit the ground. "Snowfall!" I screamed. Dark-red aura seeped through the cracks of the Orb. Snowfall fell to her knees, head down. The dark aura oozed right into my best friend's chest. She let out a screech of agony. The legend of the Orb of Protection was true. If someone destroyed the Orb in any way, dark aura will go into them and they will be controlled, the true soul completely wiped out. That meant one thing: Snowfall was no more.

Chapter 4: And Ten Seconds to Go!
Misty's Point of View
"Aye," Ash said, looking at his watch I gave him a few weeks ago. "And ten seconds to go!" I only stood there in horror. Ten seconds? Suddenly, I felt tiny, shrinking and shrinking down to the size of a crumb of bread. But I really was the average size of a cat. (I was in cat form) Snowfall stood up. Her eyes were closed, and random blood oozed slowly around her chest. "Dark Snow." I jumped, realizing that Ash was next to me. Suddenly, I heard a long gong. Ten seconds had passed! The ground began to give way, separating me from 'Dark Snow'. "Snowfall, I knew this would happen!" Ash shouted. "I knew your destiny, and it is to destroy the Cat Universe!" I stared at him. What? Did that mean he knew her whole life all along? Ash looked at me with a sorrowful gaze. Tiny tears dripped down Ash's cheeks. He slowly shook his head at me. There was only one thing he could've said. I was gonna die.
