Chapter 5: Dreams
Snowfall's Point of View
I woke up to find myself in a dark place. A rectangular hole was floating in front of me. I jumped as I heard approaching steps. I whipped around, seeing a 'dark' me. She had black eyes with red in the middle, and blood was dripping from her chest. "Call me Dark Snow," she said. I nodded. She slowly dissolved into the darkness. "You are being controlled by me. You are dead," Dark Snow explained. I gasped in horror. I was dead?! I started to scream, but Dark Snow placed her paw on my mouth. "Hush," she said quietly. "You are safe, watching your precious brat die!" Then she disappeared. Precious brat? Was she talking about Frost? Ash? I gasped. Ash!!! Oh no... Dark Snow was gonna kill Ash! I screamed and started running to comfort my self. I finally stopped in horror when I thought: Will Ash be able to join me here?

Chapter 6: Battle
Ash's Point of View
I shook the tears off my face and stared at Dark Snow. I snarled at that nasty creature. "Snowfall!" I screeched. "Try and snap out of this!" As if a reply came, Dark Snow's body darkened to reveal a brighter body. It was Snowfall! "Do not be afraid; I will come back to -" She was cut off with a shriek as her body faded, revealing Dark Snow's body. "You won't ever see your friend again," snarled Dark Snow. I flattened my ears and gritted my teeth. "Where's Snowfall?" I demanded. Dark Snow scoffed and chuckled evilly. "Snowfall is dead." Suddenly, everything behind Dark Snow exploded. It came nearer, and nearer, until I fell back and blacked out.

...

I woke up when a claw sharply prodded my side. I groaned and, sitting up, found a black female cat with dark brown eyes. "Ash!" she exclaimed. "It's me, Misty. Do you not remember?" I shook my head, then nodded. "I sort of didn't recognize you," I replied. By this time, I realized that we were alive ... In space. Dark Snow floated two tail-lengths in front of me. No other cat was near us. Dark Snow suddenly pounced on me, knocking me down. I screeched, slashing my sheathed claws at my opponent. Misty helped, because she came and raked her claws down Dark Snow's spine. She shrieked with agony as Misty meowed, "You will not come out alive; we'll make sure of that!" She slashed her claws at Dark Snow's nose. "Back off," Dark Snow snarled. As I got up, she slashed her claws across my cheek. It burned like mad. I growled and snapped my jaws on her throat. I sunk my teeth there for a long time, until I heard a weird gurgling sound. The taste of blood filled my mouth. I let go of Dark Snow's throat and spit out all the blood. Dark Snow swiveled back and forth, dizzy and dying. She suddenly fell over, and the rising of her chest stopped. I waited five seconds, and the chest still didn't rise. She was dead. Suddenly, the nonmoving body blinked to reveal Snowfall's body. She got up to her paws and padded to me. She reached up and brushed her muzzle to my ear. "Thank you," she whispered. "Thank you."
