As we all reached the school's gate, we stared at the school from its peak to it's foundation. It was a very big school but simple in nature.
"Daniel, this is your stop" Natalie said
"I believe so. I'll he back to pick you up at the closing hours" Daniel said
"No need for that, we'll find our way home" I said
"Ana, I can't let you and Natalie go home on your own. Your mum will kill me!. I'll pick you up at the closing hours. You can wait right here for me, I'll pick you up in a different car this time... If that makes you happy" Daniel said
"Um... Daniel, can't we meet you where you dropped us. I mean like a few blocks away from here. I don't want anyone to know that we are wests, you know...THE wests of Hillsdale. I hope you understand" I said
"I do. I'll pick you up two blocks away from here. Is that ok?"
"Thanks Daniel.... Bye!!" Nattie and I said
"Bye!" Daniel said and left
"Let's go in" Natalie said
"After you!" I said
We walked slowly into the school building as we stared at the surrounding. As we walked through the hallway, I stopped and held Natalie's arm so she would stop too.
"What's wrong, why did you stop?"
"Ok keep walking then. May I ask where we are walking to?" I asked
"To our classroom of course"
"And quick question, where is our classroom?"
"Ohh, I get it now... You don't have to be so sassy"
"We stopped to ask questions. This girl looks nice, maybe we should ask her"
We walked up to the girl to ask her some questions. She was a light skinned black girl with deep black long wavy hair. She wore headphones and was doing something in her locker
"Um excuse me" I said
She turned back sharply and took off her headphones
"Yes? May I help you" she said
"Hi, I'm Tatiana.... Tatiana west and this is my cousin, Natalie West..." I said and Natalie waved shortly
"Hey I'm Alexa.... Alexa Asher" she said
"Sorry for disturbing you but we wanted to know where the principal's office is. We're new here so we might need her help" I said
"Take the next left turn and walk straight ahead. Her office is by the right side.... By the way, your accent... Are you guys from England?"
"Yes... No .... Actually, we grew up in London but we are Americans. My grandma lives there so we lived with he to learn more of our family traditions" I said
"Wow, that's cool... I'll see you around, bye!" Alexa said smiling
"Thank you" Natalie and I said and walked away
"Told ya she was nice" I said
"You just had to use your accent didn't you?, I thought you could speak in American accent fluently" Natalie said
"Don't blame me, I was talking to you before I approached her, I couldn't help myself. We have to adopt this accent or we'll look like British weirdos"
"I couldn't agree more" I said and chuckled
When we got to the principal's office,I knocked and we entered
"Good morning ma'am. My parents told me to meet you. They said that they have already discussed with you so all we have to do is just to.... Come here" I said
"Are you students of this school?" The principal asked
"No principal..... Mullins ..." Natalie said looking at her name on her table
"We're new here, that's why we came to you" Natalie added
"Your names please_"
"Tatiana and Natalie West" I said
"Wait... Are your parents charlie and Tara west.... As in the Wests?"
"I wouldn't say famous but we are the Thorn valley Wests if you prefer" I said
" Oh my! I'm so so sorry for the inconveniences.... Please follow me" principal Mullins said
" No problem.We didn't go through any stress at all, besides you're older than is, you deserve our respect" Natalie said
" Yes ma'am, she's right" I said
"Girls, you parents told me that you'll be entering the 11th grade this semester so I'll show you your classrooms. The subject for the 11th grade first period is ..... History"
"So... Where is it?" Natalie asked
"Right this way, follow me"
When we reached the class, principal Mullins walked towards the door and as she was about to enter the class, I called out to her
"Principal Mullins!.... I want to speak with you"
"Yes?"
"You are going to introduce us to our classmates as "Wests" aren't you?" I asked
"Yes I am..."
"Only you know that we're THE wests of Hillsdale right?"
"Yes, why?"
"Please can it stay that way... I want you to introduce us as normal people, Tatiana and Natalie West. I don't want anyone else to know that we are the popular wests. I want us to be normal kids in our class and not some VIPs. Can you do that for us... Please?"
"Yes ma'am, can you?"Natalie said
"I will if that's what you want... You two have an opportunity to have popularity and fame in school but you choose not to... I must say, I am very impressed with you both and please don't forget to come to me if you need anything at all ok?" She said
"Thank you ma'am" we replied
"Shall we?"
Three of us entered the class and stood Infront of the students.
"Good morning students!" Principal Mullins said
"Good morning principal Mullins" they replied
"I would like to inform you that there will be two students joining you newly.... Girls introduce yourself" principal Mullins said
"I'm very nervous" I whispered to Natalie
"Don't worry, you'll be fine" Natalie said
I walked forward slowly and faced the class
"Hi everyone..." I said using my accent.
"Accent!" Natalie coughed
"Um... Hey everyone, my name is Tatiana west and this is my... My cousin Natalie. We moved here recently and we wish to make new friends and learn new things" I said and looked at Natalie who smiled back at me
"Please do make yourself comfortable, if you need anything, don't forget to meet me ok?"
"Yes ma'am" we said
As we walked down the class, we saw two empty seats two rows away from the teacher but as we wanted to sit, some girls glared fiercely at us so we backed off. We had someone call us from the back of the class.
"Ana! Natalie! c'm here!" A girl said
"Hi... It's you again, Alexa right?"Natalie said
"Yeah, there are some vacant seats here if you wouldn't mind"Alexa said
"Thanks" we said and sat down
"Maybe during our lunch break or any free period, I'll show you around the school. You guys still need to meet the principal for your lockers and timetables... And uh... If you need anything, just let me know ok?"
"Sure" I said
