Chapter 4 - No peace (Bonus)

3rd person POV -

Paimon suddenly felt all the pain vanishing and soon she was floating in a large plain filled with flowers and tiny slimes.

"Huh? Did Piamon have a bad dream?" she said as she started flying around.

Soon she found a familiar blonde sitting near a tree.

"AETHERRRRRR!" she cried as she flew towards him and hugged him while crying.

Aether gently patted her head.

"What happened Paimon?" Aether asked.

"P-Paimon had a really bad dream where you died!" she said while crying.

It took some time, but Aether managed to calm her down.

"By the way. Where are we? This place is so pretty!" Paimon said.

Aether chuckled.

"I don't know Paimon. Maybe a new realm in the tea pot. I'll go check the area. You enjoy the apples from the tree" Aether said.

Paimon happily nodded as he walked away.

Paimon had fun playing with the tiny slimes and eating apples when she realised that Aether hadn't returned.

She was about to go looking for him when she notied that the tree still had the same number of apples.

"No....No. no, no!" Paimon shouted as she flew in the direction where Aether went.

She soon found him, bleeding on the ground.

"Aether!" she shouted as she hugged him.

"Pai...mon. You realised?" he asked as he patted his crying friend.

"Don't leave Paimon again! We're both dead. We can stay together!" she said.

"Mmm... Smart girl. You realised quite soon" Aether said as he soon faded away.

Everything around Paimon started fading too.

Once her brain realised that it was dead, it couldn't maintain it's little illusion.

Soon, Paimon's consciousness faded away and was absorbed by the Irminsul.

She was a native of this world.

Aether wasn't.

Unfortunately the little fairy would never see her friend again. Not even in death.

As for Aether? He would stay.

Alone...

In his own void...

The world rejecting him.

His sister eventually leaving him.

Just like in life, he was alone forever.
