The ship bobbed gently on the waves and though it still turned her stomach a little, she was getting used to it. Killian had shown her a way to sort of rock her hips with the swaying of the ship so that she moved with it rather than against it. It certainly helped the seasickness, though she still wished she was back on land. Not that she would be much safer there if Killian was right about Pan. It wasn’t that she didn’t believe him, there were certainly parts of his story that rang true, it was simply that she felt there was more that she was missing, or that Killian was leaving out and without finding out Pan’s side, she was unlikely to get answers. Honestly, she didn’t want to talk to Pan. Even if Killian was exaggerating, she couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something off about him. Killian was right that it was strange that she and Nyx were the only women on the island. Felix had made his feelings on the matter well known, so why bring girls into the picture? It made her afraid for Nyx.

“This came for you.” Killian placed a glass bottle on the table. The top was sealed with a wax covered cork, and inside was a tightly rolled scroll.

“Thank you.” She smiled politely. She still felt odd being on the ship. She wasn’t exactly a prisoner anymore, but she wasn’t allowed to leave either. Where would she go if she did?

“Would you like some privacy?” He was trying to be nice to her, but they were in his quarters after all.

“No, it’s okay, you can stay and do… whatever…” She gestured to the maps that littered his desk. From the looks of things, he was trying to find a way off Neverland.

Killian smiled awkwardly and sat down, doing his best not to watch her. Brook took the bottle and crackled the seal. Wedging a knife in the cork, she pried it free and pulled out the scroll.

Duckie, you say I can’t trust Peter, but how can you trust Hook? He kidnapped you. He had his men try and kidnap me. I love you and I miss you, but you can’t expect me to believe the word of the man who is using you as bait to get to Peter.

I’ll ask Peter for you, but you need to find a way off that ship.

She hated when Nyx used logic against her. But truthfully, she couldn’t explain why she believed what Killian was saying, for the most part anyway. There was just something about him. When Nyx first told her about Pan, Brook asked how she could trust him, and all Nyx could say was that it was just a feeling. Well Brook had that feeling now. Killian might be hiding something, but she trusted him, inexplicably. She frowned at the letter. What was she going to do?

As if he could sense her anguish, Killian stood up, “Do you want to learn how to sail?”
