This is the introductory part and might seem quite boring but I hope you give it a chance. I promise it gets more interesting!

Kellin's POV

I woke up at around half 10 in the morning. I got out of bed, went to the bathroom and commenced the normal Saturday morning routine. Brushed my teeth, got a shower. I came back to my bedroom after about an hour to find a text from my friend Justin asking me to come to the park. Today was a bad day to stay alone, I could feel it in my bones, so I decided I'd go meet up with my friends, it couldn't hurt to see them. Hopefully I'll bump into Oliver.

I went downstairs and told my parents I was heading out and off I went. My earphones were in as I made the short walk to the park, which was right around the corner from the street where I lived. I quite liked living here, even though loads of little kids played out in the summer, including my little sister, all of them noisy fuckers. It was easy to go into town and meet up with my friends, or just to get some new strings for my guitar.

As I approached the bowling green where my friends hung out, I saw a huge group of people, a lot more than I'd anticipated. Although I recognised most of their faces from around the small town, I had never talked to most of them, they were just friends of friends. All of them met the stereotypical image of what most people call 'moshers'. Their behaviour met the criteria for this stereotype too. Smoking- cigs and weed, drinking etc. I got close enough to see where Justin was amongst the crowd and headed towards him. He saw me and stood up from his slouched position on the well-mowed lawn and came over to me.

'Hey Kellin!' He said. As enthusiastic as ever.

'Hey Justin.' I replied. I gave him a hug and then we sat down. We had a short talk about random crap and then he continued to talk with the rest of the rabble he was sat with before I arrived. I sat there. Silent. As usual. I took in my surroundings, it was the same scene I saw every weekend. With a few unfamiliar faces. There where different groups of us. The stoners right at the back of the group, amongst the trees that surrounded the bowling green. The older ones, some stood, some sat in a dysfunctional circle on the curb of the bowling green. The younger ones who hovered around the older ones, desperately mimicking their behaviour, like a younger monkey may do to the older ones in order to be accepted. Then there was the group I was sat with, Justin being the only one, out of the six people there, that I knew.

I got out my Windsor Blue packet and pulled out a cigarette, a dirty habit, but what the fuck, we all die someday. I sparked up and continued to glide my eyes over the various groups, hardly paying attention to the conversations going on close to me, occasionally laughing or nodding at the right times.

Suddenly the atmosphere changed. I looked up, and of course saw Oliver walking over with the usual culprits, Matthew and of course Jenna. Justin ran straight over to Jenna, like a cat after a ball of string. They'd been best friends for as long as I could remember, but of course, anyone who knew Justin or Jenna, knew that Justin wanted a lot more than that. I got up and went over to them.

'Hey Kellin!' Jenna said to me, with her fake attitude of wow its great to see you. Which was with out a doubt utter bullshit.

'Hey Jenna.' I replied, spraying my happy bullshit out at her too. Her and I had this friendship where we'd be best friends in all appearances when really we hated the shit out of each other. I was never like this, I really truly liked her, until I learned how much of a fake twat she was. My eyes wondered over to unpredictable Oliver. He wasn't looking my way, which told me it would be one of those days. The days where he decides I'm not worth any of his time. This happened often, either he was all over talking to me or he couldn't give two shits. Maybe this is what made me always desperately need him.

I turned my attention to Matt.

'Hello Matt!' Matt was the only person who I was always truly happy to see. He was such a kind and gentle person.

'Hello!' He replied and pulled me into a hug. He was Oliver's best friend, Jenna and Matt were the only constant close friends Oliver seemed to keep. The rest he flitted between, whichever he could be bothered with at the time had the 'privilege' to call him their close friend. As a result, you could count on him to always know what was going on between me and Oliver, but he never mentioned it, not once. He was not one for serious conversations and that was a welcomed character trait when you were always around people who never ceased to moan and complain about this and that.

We all sat down, this time in a separate group from the one me and Justin were originally sat in. Everyone began to flock to this group, practically sucking Oliver off with their eyes. Its pathetic, but everyone I know in this whole crowd does it, excluding Matt and of course Justin, who hated his guts.

I sat there most of the day. Smoking and daydreaming. Finally my best friend, Lauren and her boyfriend, Luke turned up. By this time I was sat on the curb, just with Matt and some other randoms.

They came over Lauren sat down next to me and Luke sat opposite us. I offered her my lighter, as she attempted to spark up, I noticed some of the large group had started to play rugby. Lauren was a lot more bubbly than me, and although she was newer to this group than me she began immediately talking to everyone, including those she didn't know.

It was now around 4:00pm and the rugby game had died down, with only a few left playing. Oliver had left with Jenna. I was left with Lauren, Luke, Matt and a few other people that I didn't care for. One of the older people was stood behind Luke after just being in the rugby game and his friend was sat at the other end of the group. I recognised the person stood behind Luke. He used to wait outside of school for Jenna and some other people with Oliver, sometimes on his own. Vic his name was.

I didn't really take much notice of Vic. Until he began throwing small twigs at Luke in a playful manner. Luke was getting quite annoyed at him after a good straight hour of being abused with twigs. It was written all over Luke's face that he'd had enough and Vic was taking it too far, but I just let them get on with it and watched, as the silent spectator I was around people I didn't know.

Eventually everyone got sick of the park and decided to walk into town to get some food. Vic and Luke were ahead, skateboarding and me and Lauren followed behind.
