Your eyelids feel heavy as you try to open them so you decide to keep them closed and snuggle underneath the warm blanket and into the soft bed even more. You let out a happy sleepy sigh as you enjoy the warmth. Then your eyes snap open and you sit up in bed. This isn't your bed and these aren't your blankets.
Your heartbeat speeds up as you look around. The room is made out of stone with a window just large enough to let you know that it is snowing heavily outside. There is a dresser along the wall to your right and what looks like a bench at the foot of the bed. There is also a small fireplace in front of you with a small fire going. You push the blanket aside, which is actually the pelts of a couple of some unknown beasts, and stand up. You still have your clothes and boots on. You take a look around the room even though there's not much in here.
You hear your door open and a girl about your height walks in. She spots you and you both stare at each other. She is blue! With dark red eyes and white hair in twin pigtails. You both let out a scream and a male who is also blue, though he is bald walks into the room.
You back up away from him. He is easily ten feet tall and has a very deadly looking spear in his hand. The girl drops the bundle of whatever she had in her arms and runs out of the room. The male just stares at you as you back up into the wall behind you.
Just where exactly were you? You have stopped screaming but you continue to stare up at the blue giant in fear.
"Come with me." He simply says.
You shake your head, unable to say anything or move.
The giant narrows his red eyes at you and frowns. He reaches out to grab your arm and you whimper. He hesitates for a second but grabs your arm. His grip is not strong but you know it isn't worth it to try to pull yourself free. He could very easily tear your arm off.
"You are awake. The King is expecting you." He begins to pull you away from the wall and out of the room.
King? What King? There are no kings on Earth.
You are too terrified to do much but try to follow. His stride is obviously longer than yours so you have to jog to keep up with him. He leads you down a long hallway until you reach a set of iron doors. There are two guards standing in front and they open the door as you two approach.
You were going to die. You were pretty sure of that. On the other side of the room is a very spacious room with half the walls being in stone that somehow meld into the rest of the walls being made entirely of ice. There are more giants standing around the room and in the back of the room, upon a dais is a throne of ice. There is another giant sitting in it.
A massive horned crown of ice sits on top of hair black as night. Pieces of gold armor cover his shoulders, arms, waist, and legs. As soon as you enter he turns his red eyes upon you. Not the guard in front of you, just you.
The guard bows, "Your Majesty."
The king waves his hand and the guard lets go of your arm and steps to the side. You stare up at the king as he stares down at you. Even though he was seated you could tell that he was the same height as your guard, if not taller.
"You are not Asgardian. Where do you come from?" He asks.
Asgard? What or where is that? You weren't an expert on geography but you were pretty sure there wasn't a country on Earth called that.
"Um...Earth." You squeak out.
The King's eyes widen. "Oh so you're an Earth girl! "But how did you come to Jotunheim?"
