Stanley was diagnosed with Dyslexia when he was attending Primary School. Stanley came across many challenges during his early school years. Stanley couldn't read or write and struggled with Maths and the alphabet. Everyone thought he was just stupid and he never made allot of freinds. Stanley would always sit in the library during his lunch time and look at comics but he could never read them.
At the time people didn't really know what Dyslexia was. His parents had no idea on how to help or realise his struggles with his Education. Doctors were only there to tell him he defiantly he had Dyslexia but offered him very little advice.
Stanley was an only child and his father was a corn farmer and his mother worked as a dishwasher in a hospital kitchen. His parents had very little money and relied on the welfare system. Stanley's parents only wanted the best for him and was supportive in anything he wanted to do.
Stanley knew he wanted to do well so he studied hard and got supportive people around him. Stanley set goals for himself by making sure he never failed school. Stanley graduated high school and won a leadership and outstanding achievements award during his time in high school.
Stanley became a public speaker and activist for people with disabilities. He was offered a job as a tv presenter and a Education reviewer for people with disabilities and made allot of money. Stanley gave allot of money towards philanthropy and he was a big hit on tv. Stanley wrote a book called We're more than just a Disability. The book inspired many people and changed their opinion's on disabilities. He married a lady named Sarah and had a child named Henry.
Stanley travels to the Beehive to talk about disabilities and more opportunities for disabled people. Whats ironic is all those students who thought he was stupid never thought he would be offered a job to travel to America once every two weeks for public speaking on disabilities representing Australasia.
Stanley was knighted and became one of New Zealand's most richest men. His son attends High School and is working up to a All Black career. Stanley was honoured into the New Zealand Hall of fame and is now an ambassador of the All Blacks.
