𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟑 : Waking Up 🥗

A/N : omg guys im so sorry for not uploading for quite a bit I was feeling lazy and I was pretty busy with the new update in genshin (I had to speedrun the chasm [so much emotional damage] to get to sumeru TwT) anyways im back now soooo enjoy this chapter (also if this is sad im sorry buttt i lost the 50/50 to qiqi on zhongli's banner so i ain't happy : P)





You wake up in a world of inferno , it looked like a vibrant red hellscape , once you looked closer , you realized that it was Monstadt on fire. Everywhere you looked it was pure chaos , cries of agony filled the air , dead bodies littered the streets , and you were feeling quite scared but that wasn't the worst. You saw your friend's bodies lying there blank-eyed and cold , never to move again , but the worse was yet to come as you came to a stop. You saw the body that you were dreading to see , Venti's. He was lying on the street , pale and unmoving , eyes staring blankly into the distance. His hands were cold and stiff never to play a lyre again. His mouth was never going to utter a happy laugh , and you would never hear him sing again. His body was no different from those of your friends , but you somehow felt worse like you heart just dropped to your stomach and you felt like you were going to die as well.





You woke up in a cold sweat. "Oh! y/n! your awake!" , you heard a melodious and sweet voice exclaim. "Huh?" , you say still shivering from that nightmare that you had. "y/n are you okay? You're shivering!" , you hear the voice say , you finally figure out that the voice was Barbara , the Deaconess of the Favonius Church. "Why am I here?" , you ask , trying to recollect why you fell unconscious in the first place. "Oh! You fell off Master Diluc's balcony , thankfully that bard , Venti , caught you and brought you here for healing." , Barbara said. "Oh." , you say , confused as to how he caught you in the first place.





You were about to say something but then you and Barbara heard fast paced foot steps. You saw that Venti had burst into the room where you were staying. "Is y/n o-" , Venti said , dropping off as he saw you awake. You blushed at the sight of Venti and seeing you blush he became as bright red as a tomato too.





What is wrong with me why am I suddenly blushing at the sight of Venti?





"Anyways , y/n , I'm glad to see that you are awake I was worried that you weren't going to wake up for a while. ehe~" , said Venti cheekily. "I- okay." , you said awkwardly.





What is this that I'm feeling?





"Oh! By the way y/n your mother told me to tell you that she is going on a trip to Fontaine to visit her family and that she won't be back until after a few years since she also has business to do there." , said Barbara. "Oh. Okay." , you say , feeling lonely. "I'll be so lonely all on my own in that house" , you pouted. "I'll have to second that , as well as the fact that your condition isn't stable yet so you would have to stay here in the church , unless you find someone to live with." , said Barbara. "w-w-what?" , you stutter , mortified at the possibility of having to live in the church long term. "I'm afraid that it is the only way for you to get better as you don't have a roo-" , Barabara says getting cut off by Venti.





"I'll be her roommate." , Venti says , "if that's okay with her of course!".





You stare at Venti , shocked. "I-I guess so" , you said , shocked and flustered by Venti's sudden suggestion. Blush started to creep up your face as you realized what you had agreed on.
