"Oh! De Exquisite that you have a power unlike any human!" Big Mama exclaimed excitedly, looking at the bracelet

"How did you-"

"Oh chaps! Big Mama knows many things similar to mystic googly items!" Big Mama laughed
"Okaaaaay.. well um, thank you." I mumbled awkwardly before taking a sip of my coffee, avoiding eye contact.
"What a charming creature! How could anyone look past your beautiful soul!" She exclaimed with awe
"Uhhh...thanks.." I murmured nervously feeling my ears burn a bright pink color from embarrassment.
"So how does it feel to control such a mighty gift?" She tilted her head curiously
"It's um..it's alright." I stuttered, scratching my nape awkwardly.
"Is that so? You should be proud! No one has ever succeeded at controlling such a great power!" She exclaimed enthusiastically
"That's actually very true! You're the first and only human to possess such abilities!"
"What brings you to New York? Surely not work..?" She frowned
I cleared my throat "No uh well.. you know I used to live in Brooklyn right? And when my mother passed away, I decided that I needed fresh air so I moved here" I explained trying to ignore that she being suspicious
"Hmm interesting! One last question for you, Do you know how to fight?"
"A few tricks here and there but it's really more of a matter of strategy and stamina." I gave her an uneasy laugh
She placed the back of her fingers against my cheek before nodding her head slightly in appreciation
"Well I must put you to tryout with my Battle Nexus!" She declared with excitement
"Battle Nexus?" My eyebrows furrowed, I didn't understand
"Yes, my dearest!" She replied happily, placing her finger in front of her lips.
"They're all trained fighters! Only the best will be selected for my tournament and I'm confident that you'll be selected!" She responded with pride.
"Um okay.." I muttered unsurely.
"Come along! We need to prepare for the tournament!" She exclaimed cheerfully, grabbing my wrist to pull me toward a set of doors in the distance. Once outside I saw that we were standing right next to the stadium and the large arena filled with people cheering wildly at the sight of a battle.
"Welcome everyone! To the Battle Nexus!" Big Mama announced.
Everyone cheered loudly with applause and yells of enthusiasm as we approached the stands, and soon we reached a small platform that had a microphone and announcer's stand in front of us.
"First up is-" Big Mama was interrupted by a booming male voice.
"Give me back Y/n Big Mama?!" A loud angry voice shouted angrily causing everyone to stop talking.
Everyone looked at the source of the voices until my eyes met with the owner of the voice, It was Leo . He glared at Big Mama so suddenly
Big Mama scoffed at him "Oh turtley-boo I think not..."
Leo growled, his eyes turning red with his hands balled tightly into fists.
"Don't worry! All is fair in love and war! I have a special match for you!" Big Mama stated confidently as she waved a small remote in the air.
All eyes were on the remote as it started to hum with energy.
"And now it's time for the Battle Nexus to begin! Behold!" Big Mama cried out as a holographic screen lit up above her head, Suddenly I started to fall into the Arena grounds below.
I landed with a soft thud on my knees and fell forward. Looking around, I was surrounded by several other Yokai dressed in armor. Their faces were covered with metal. Leo use his sword to make a portal and jumped through the portal. He landed in front of me before helping me back up.
"How about we have a little fun before the real saving happens!" Leo said
I smirked at him before touching my bracelet , letting my powers flow through my fingertips
"We're going to have so much fun!" Leo laughed as he summoned his own portal sword to block the arrows that were coming towards us.
I summoned the spear that was hanging around my waist as I swung it at the arrows, sending them flying away from us.
"Now I see why you wanted the spear." Leo remarked
"I've always been good at combat!" I boasted proudly
Leo snickered quietly before dodging another arrow that almost hit us in the face.
"Alright now let's test your skills!" Leo yelled as he charged towards one of the Yokai and slashed at him with his sword, successfully slicing him clean in half. I smirked as I dodged another arrow headed straight for me, blocking it with my spear. Leo and I continued to fight side by side, attacking and blocking one of our opponents at a time. Leo eventually stopped and turned towards me with a smile on his face
"You ready to show them who's boss?" He asked.
"Heck yeah!" I smirked back at him
"Alrighty then!" Leo exclaimed as he raised his sword "Time to end this!"
With one quick move, Me and Leo did a duo move where we both launched ourselves towards the largest enemy , slashing and stabbing, knocking him down and giving us a clear view of the arena.
The crowd was still cheering and shouting, but most people seemed to be staring at us rather than the arena.
"That's pretty badass." Leo commented with admiration
"Yeah yeah let's just get out of here!" I replied, waving my hands dismissively
"Suit yourself!" Leo smiled as he shot out another portal which lead us straight out of the arena
After escaping from that crazy place I finally found myself back in the familiar alleyway. It was empty except for a few stray cats, the moon illuminating the area, and the cold wind blowing past me. The chilly night air was a welcome relief from the heat inside the building. I sighed heavily as I leaned back onto the wall.
"I can't believe we did that." I chuckled under my breath
"I don't blame you! We totally rocked!" Leo laughed as he sat next to me.
As if on cue a sudden screeching noise caught my attention as I looked over to my right and saw a dark figure.
"Who are you?!" I demanded to know
Suddenly a purple mist emerged from the figure revealing the form of Raph in a cat costume?
"....Never again leo...Never again" he groaned as he collapsed on his face on the ground, curling into a ball.
"I guess you got cat nipped?" Leo teased
"Leo stop with the lame puns" I deadpanned
"More like buns!" He corrected which made me roll my eyes
