I have made another story!! This is, of course, about Demon Slayer, because I love that anime!! Now, onto the story!!!

(The Picrew above is what our main character, Mino, will look like after a life-changing event... I DIDN'T MAKE IT THOUGH)
(well, I did, but you know what I mean)

Tell me if I made any mistakes!!

Mino stared in awe at the sunset before her. It was beautiful, the way the sky would go into a mix of orange blue, yellow and pink. She loved it. She especially loved it when it was night, when she could watch the stars while laying on the ground.

"Mino!! Come on, Mum made dinner!", a voice called from inside. She got off the roof (yes she was on the roof-) and went inside to the dining table. The food was set before her as her mother started a conversation. "Were you sitting on the roof again? I told you to stop, it's dangerous.", she said, sighing when Mino just shrugged. She didn't like speaking, because she hated her voice, so, unless she was extremely comfortable, she would just make little hums or gestures with her hands to speak. A blue-haired boy, her brother Miles, laughed.

"I mean, you can't stop her from doing anything, you know that. She's probably gonna go out when it's dark to look at the stars.", he remarked, eating his dinner. She nodded, humming in agreement. They decided to end the conversation as they sat in pleasant silence eating their food.

Mino was adopted, seeing that she was found in the street since she was homeless. But less on that stuff, now onto the actual story. They finished eating, so they washed the dishes and went to their rooms. Mino dragged Miles to her room though; she 'said' that she wanted to show him something. Miles sat on her bed as Mino looked through her room for a book. When she found it, she sat down next to him and sighed.

"I need to show you this.", she said, taking a sharp intake of it as Miles looked at her bewildered. I mean, she spoke, and that's something she rarely did. But, he was happy that she was comfortable with him. He shuffled closer to her and he looked over at the book. Mino opened it and started telling him about a person, and about a myth she was learning.

"You've heard of demons, right? They eat humans and all that.", she asked, blinking as her brother nodded his head. "Well, there's a king of them. The most powerful demon of all. Only a few demon slayers nearly defeated them, but failed.", she explained, pointing at the text that gave her that explanation. Miles grabbed the book, reading through it.

"That demon is called Muzan Kibutsugi, and he's extremely strong. He's still alive, and he still turns people into demons.", she said, looking at Miles as he deadpanned. "No. There's no such-", he started, then remembered something. Her parents were killed by the demons, which was why she was homeless. He gave her a sad look, a look that said 'I'm sorry'.

She shrugged. "Keep the book, maybe that can keep you up reading at night. Just wanted to tell you.", she remarked, pushing him out of her room. He yelped as he nearly fell over, earning a chuckle from Mino. She closed the door, nodding her head as a 'good night', as he walked into his room.

After a few minutes, they fell asleep, warm and cozy under the protection of their house. But, as everyone knew long ago, nothing that is good ever lasts forever. As the greatest demon slayer once thought, 'Happiness is always destroyed, when there is the smell of blood.'

~^Timeskip to the middle of the night^~

Miles woke up to the sound of a scream. He jumped up from his bed. 'That sounded like it came from... MINO!!', he thought, rushing to his sister's room. He nearly broke down the door when he got in. He paled at the sight before him. His sister, on the floor, bleeding heavily. He immediately crouched down to check her pulse, sighing in relief when he felt it. He picked her up and looked for his mother in her room.

When he opened the door, he looked down and let out a painful cry, dropping Mino to the floor. Their mother was beheaded, body on the floor bleeding out. She was dead. And Miles couldn't save her. He thought that he probably couldn't save his sister either, dropping down to the floor, sobbing.

'Mum... I'm sorry...', he thought, letting out heart-wrenching cries as he held up his head in grief. He felt a hand grip his. He turned to look beside him, hoping that it was just a prank that his mother had did, and she came to tell him. But he was shocked when he saw what was really there.

It was Mino, but she wasn't herself. She had black and blue marks on her face, marks that weren't human. Her eyes had changed from light brown to a pale bluish-purple, and they had a look of sadness in them. She had sharp long nails, that faded into blue and purple at the tips. She also had light purple highlights in her hair, the colour resembling to a familiar flower (y'all got that, right?). She had black horns growing upwards from her head, which made her look slightly menacing. Blood was on her face, and it seemed to be spilling from a gash she had, but she didn't mind that. She was focused on trying to make her brother happy, to tell him it was all right.

(For those who don't fully understand the description as to what she looks like, please refer to the picture at the start of the chapter, as I made a Picrew to show what i think Mino would look like)

She tried saying something, but she just made an animalistic growl. He backed away into a corner, closing his eyes in fear. "G-get away from me!!", he yelled, covering his face. He heard a whine. He looked up and saw his sister, in the form of a child, tears falling from her eyes and she sniffed. She wiped her eyes and made grabbing motions towards Miles. Her gash had stopped bleeding, and it seemed to be healing. Miles' body relaxed, as he allowed Mino to hug him, smiling as she purred in content.

He chuckled, grabbing Mino so he could take her to the kitchen where the first aid kit was. After travelling there, he set her on the counter as he searched for the kit, which was placed on the fridge. Normally that would be hard to get, but since he was taller than most people, he grabbed the kit with ease. He turned around to find that Mino was back to normal size, eating a bar of chocolate she found from god knows where. She looked up to him innocently, smiling at his face.

He huffed and just went along to treat his sister's injuries, while thinking to himself. 'Why was my family targeted, of all people? This must mean that a demon came and killed Mum. But Mino's not human now, as if she's a...', he eyes widened slightly as he stared at her, since he finished treating her wounds.

His sister was a demon. An actual demon. But, something didn't add up. From the book he read, demons normally crave blood and human flesh, but Mino didn't show much interest in it at all. He decided to ask her. "Mino? I have a question.", he asked, letting out a small huff as his sister looked up at him, curious as to what the question may be.

"Did you read that part in the book that said that demons normally crave blood? Well, you don't seem to crave it. Do you have a explanation for this?", he questioned, tilting his head like a puppy. Mino nodded, getting up from the counter and running to Miles' room. She came back in about a minute, scrolling through the book to find something that could help. When she found it, she pointed to a part that explained something.

It turns out that although this was extremely rare, this had happened before. There was once a demon that didn't eat humans, although she did crave it. She fought that urge though, and she became one of the most powerful slayers, even if she was a demon herself.

Miles' eyes widened again. Does this mean that Mino was like this demon? If so, then how? He heard a yawn in front of him, as he stared at Mino, who was now sleepy. He decided that they should now sleep, as it had been a long night. He grabbed her hand, dragging her to the couch. He sat her there, sitting next to her. She was now out like a light, and soon enough, Miles was slowly falling asleep too, head tilted back to the wall behind the couch.

Before yielding to sleep entirely, he whispered out one thing. "One day, I'm going to defeat you once and for all,"

"Muzan."

First chapter, done!! Lets gooooo. Srry that it's bad, I've worked on this for months. What did you think? Also, if there was anything interesting in the book that you wanted to point out, please do so!! I'd love to hear your thoughts!!

That's it, I'll see you for the next time I update (which will probably be for my other book!!)
