Leave Me Alone

It's been weeks and Y/n finally got home from the hospital. Joey took care of everything. He also stayed with Y/n at the hospital for a few weeks and didn't care if he missed school. She didn't enjoyed it there because she thinks Joey was annoying and bothers her too much. After they got home, her parents toured her inside their house to familiarize her with the places there. Y/n kind of remembered some places but not fully. She took a rest for a few days and went to school after she fully recovered.

Wednesday. She was about to go to school alone, when Joey approaches her. "Hey Y/n! Do you know where our school is?" Joey asked. "Yeah, my parents told me," Y/n replied. "Oh. By the way, why are you walking alone? I should accompany you. Who knows if something bad will happen to you and at least I'll be here to protect you," Joey offered. "Oh, yeah. Um, thanks," Y/n said, annoyed. "Please leave me alone," she said to herself. 

Upon arriving at school and in her classroom, some friends and classmates of Y/n greeted her. Though she doesn't know who they are, she's glad that some people came and greeted her. "Sorry guys, I don't remember all of you," Y/n informed. "She's suffering from an amnesia," Joey added. "Oh," everyone said. A few hours later, it was lunch time. Y/n was sitting quietly and eating her lunch when she saw Joey approaching her. "Oh no, here he is again," Y/n panicked. "Hey Y/n! Mind if I sit here?" Joey asks. "Uh, sure," Y/n forcefully said. "So, how are you feeling?" Joey asks about to take a bite of his food. "Can't remember anything," Y/n answered. "I hope your memories come back. It hurts me when you say that you don't remember me," Joey sadly said. "Yeah, me too," Y/n nonchalantly said. 

Class dismissed. All of the students went home and Y/n was looking for Joey to see if he's not there so that she could go home alone. When she got out of school, she was surprised because Joey suddenly appeared to her. "Hey Y/n!" Joey exclaimed. "Hey," Y/n said, annoyed. "Let me walk you home, I can't leave you alone," Joey offered. "Joey, I'm okay. You don't need to do this. Yeah, I'm glad that you care for me and you're always there for me. Sorry to say this but I just wanna be honest with you. You're starting to annoy me. You're always following me and it's really annoying. Please leave me alone for a while. Can you do that? But um, thanks anyways for being a good friend to me but I can walk home," Y/n snapped. Hearing those words made Joey left with tears especially when he heard that Y/n only referred to him as "a good friend". After that, Y/n left Joey alone and walked home. When she got home, her parents wondered and asked her why she wasn't with Joey because they used to always go home together. "Oh, um. He's just busy. He can't walk home with me. That's it," Y/n lied. 


Joey's POV

I didn't know what made her upset. All I did was to protect her. I didn't even know that she's starting to get annoyed with me. She could've just told me, I would totally understand that. If she needed space, I'll give her that. I won't bother her anymore but I'll always check on her.
