📍the clarke house
"liv?" ella called out.
"yes?" i yelled.
"where are you?"
"the kitchen."
i heard ella's footsteps coming down the stairs and soon enough she appeared next to me.
"i think you should invite shay over for dinner!" ella said.
"why?" i asked.
"to be friendly."
"we are friendly.
"not friendly enough! i saw you guys out there yesterday and y'all looked completely unfriendly. you need to be more touchy, you know! like when you laugh put your hand on her shoulder or something. like the old days!"
"you really think that's being more friendly?"
"yep!! trust me."
"alright."
so i did just that and texted shay to come over for dinner. which she did.
the doorbell rang and i ran to the door opening it, revealing shay.
"hi shay!" i said, grabbing her hand and pulling her into my house, she kicked the door shut behind us.
we were just standing there holding hands and shay awkwardly laughed and dropped my hand.
"come." i said.
she followed me into the dining room where we sat.
"i'm hoping my mom will be done cooking soon, but anyways, how's life?" i asked.
"good. well it's life." she chuckled.
i reached over and touched her shoulder, laughing with her.
she raised an eyebrow and me and i took my arm off her shoulder.
"um so how is life for you?" she asked.
"great!" i said.
as an attempt to slightly brush my leg up against hers, our feet touched.
"i'm gonna just go to the bathroom." shay said.
"oh yeah of course it's upstairs to the lef-" i began.
"olivia, i know where the bathroom is."
"oh yeah."
after a couple minutes, shay was still not back, so i went upstairs and knocked on the bathroom door.
there was no response so i tried to open it but it was locked.
i walked down the hall to ella's room.
"ella can you unlock this door for me?" i asked.
ella nodded and got up, following me to the bathroom door.
she unlocked it and walked away.
the bathroom was empty, but the window was wide open.
