"Dooo youuu knowww what today isss"?!

"It's our anniversary, anniversary"!

My bestfriend of 19 years sang jumpin on my bed.

And before y'all start, no, it ain't that type of anniversary.

We met and became bestfriends when we was nine and seven.

She decided to go out her way to celebrate our 'one year anniversary' as kids and it just kinda became our thing.

Now here we are at twenty-eight and twenty-six, livin together and still celebratin.

"Bro, it's hella early, lay yo ass down".

I said seein it was only 6:30 a.m.

"No! Get up, we gotta start early".

"Let's just call it off this year, just this once".

Her jumpin slowed down as her smile fell slowly.

She flopped down on me with a mug on her face.

"What's yo problem? Why you don't wanna celebrate"?

"Dontchu think we a lil too old to be celebratin a friendship"?

"No, we been doin this forever".

"Exactly, I'm kinda tired of doin it".

I was lyin.

I been plannin this for the past month.

I had a crush on her since we was kids but could never tell her that to her face.

This year I decided to try and make us official.

We do damn near everything together and people already think we together.

We always been attached at the hip to the point we don't even give each other privacy nomo, and that's sayin somethin cause I'm a private ass person.

So imma tell her to celebrate by herself, give her some money to go shoppin and whatever else she wanna do.
