"Who's got the stones?!" Thor yelled, attacking Thanos. "Me, I'm okay, I've got them- never mind help! Someone please help!" Peter cried as the aliens came down on him. "Kid I'm coming" I exclaimed, flying over to him. I threw them into the air and slammed them down into a hole as the ship started shooting at the ground. Wanda got flung across the battlefield and Strange lost control of the water "Peter get over here!" I screamed as I put a shield over us and some other people.
The guns began to aim upwards at something that just entered the upper atmosphere allowing us to get the shield down. "I'll take the gauntlet to the van, don't worry Parker" I reassured him, taking it and flying off.
I was almost at the van until Thanos decided to attack me "Give it up" he said, punching my face. "Never" I replied, spitting out some blood and taking him into the air. He groaned as I strangled him extremely slowly "Someone get the gauntlet!" I yelled as I got thrown into a piece of rubble. Thor ran over just as Thanos was about to get the gauntlet and attacked with Steve until they both got launched away and Thanks out the gauntlet on. Carol flew over and tried to stop him however she failed and got thrown behind a wall of rubble causing Thanos to almost snap but Tony flew towards him and grabbed the gauntlet however ended up going back.
"I am inevitable" Thanos said before snapping making a metal sound. My eyes widened and I looked over to Tony who had the stones on his armour "NO!" I screamed as I ran towards him as fast as I could. "And I....am....iron man".
I landed on the floor as the Chitauri faded away into dust along with Thanos. "Mr Stark?" Peter stumbled, crouching down next to him. "M-Mr Stark, can you hear me, it's me Peter?".
I limped over to them and allowed Rhodey to pull Peter away from Tony "Hey honey" says under his breath. Tears fell down my cheeks "You idiot, why did you do that?" I whispered. He looked at me and smiled faintly "I'll see you again soon" he managed to stutter out. "I think I'll miss you forever, I'll never love one like you" I cried, holding his cheeks. Tony looked at me sadly "J-Just one more k-kiss for your h-husband". I laughed and broke down crying "Of course" I leaned in and kissed him gently then pulled away crying "I love you" I said, placing a hand on the arc reactor "Ditto" he replied, his head dropping loosely to the side. "No...no Tony wake up, wake up please, Tony!" I exclaimed, shaking him by the shoulders.
The evening after Tony's funeral I was laying in bed cradling Morgan at around midnight, staring blankly at the ceiling. I heard her little snores allowing me to sneak out of bed and go and sit in Tony's little work area.
"Friday" I said, sitting down on a stool. "Yes Mrs Stark" She answered as I looked through Tony's files "Did Tony save anything, like going back in time and saving dead people?" I asked, going into his most recent files. "Not that I'm aware of Mr Stark, however he did make a private file that nobody but you and Dr Banner access" Friday informed me. "What, open the file!" I exclaimed, looking for it. "I am unable to open it Mrs Stark as only Mr Stark and you know the code" Friday told me. My eyebrows furrowed as hundreds of thoughts ran through my head that only Tony and I would know... bingo. Tony shared a lot of things with the world and some more private things with the avengers, however there is only one thing that only the two of us know and that was the date we said we loved each other. I brought up the file and typed in the date 30.04.11.
It immediately unlocked and a hologram of Tony appeared "So, I guess you found out about this file, meaning I'm probably dead right about now, and yes, I did find out about bringing people back from the dead with time, just in case you know, something happened to you, so I am hoping you never saw this and it's deleted but you never know, all the information on the files is to be strictly kept between you and the others, Happy too maybe, anyway give this information to Banner, he'll know what to do, and if it doesn't work, hang in there honey, I know it's hard, trust me I know, but I need you to stay strong for Morgan and your health okay, I'll be keeping an eye on you from above if that's even a thing, just give it time okay, I love you" Tony said on the hologram. I broke down in the chair crying and ran upstairs to grab Morgan "Mommy, where are we going?" She whispered groggily, snuggling into my shoulder. "To the compound, you can sleep in the car and I'll take you to your room when we arrive, okay?" I smiled, laying her down in the backseat and putting a blanket over her and pillow under her head.
Once we arrived at the compound I entered the code to get in and carried Morgan in and tip tied up to her room and layed her down "Sleep well" I whispered before shutting the door to find Steve standing there in his joggers and shirt "What is going on?" He hissed. "I-I think we've got a way to bring Tony back" I whispered, Steve's eye widening.
Within two hours it was 4am and everyone was downstairs in the dark with a light on in the lab as everyone tried to help follow Tony's instructions. It ended up being Scott, Steve and Bruce as the rest of us were on the couch, me and Wanda under the blanket, Sam's torso across our laps, Bucky on the floor leaning against a few cushions, Clint laying between mine and Wanda's legs and Thor passed out in a star shape on the floor.
We had all fallen asleep, well apart from me, Steve, Scott and Bruce "Done, I think I've got it!" Bruce yelled, startling us and waking everyone else up. Thor sat up and banged his head on the coffee table "Owww" he whined, standing up. I scrambled off the couch and pushed Sam and Clint on the floor and rushed over to Bruce. "Okay we need to try" I said rushingly, panicking like mad. Steve grabbed my shoulders and looked me dead in the eye "Y/N, listen, we're all over the moon about this, but don't get your hopes too high, there's a chance it won't work" he told me. I controlled my breathing and nodded "Everyone stand back, on the count of three" Bruce instructed us. We all stood a few meters away from the machine "One" Scott began "Two.." Sam continued "Three!" Wanda cried as we all put out hands up to shield our selves. There was a bright flash and the machine made a sound before it all went silent.
I put my hands down and saw Tony sitting down on the floor "Ow that's a lot more painful that I expected" he groaned, rubbing his head. "O-Oh my god, Tony!" I exclaimed, running onto the machine and dropping down next to him, wrapping my arms around his neck. Tony enveloped me into a hug and kissed my cheek "I guess you got desperate then" he laughed, standing up as I pulled away nodding. "We couldn't live without you.." I cried, kissing him softly. "Welcome back Stark" Steve said to him, nodding his head. Tony nodded back "Good to be back Cap".
