Dinner With The Parents

It was Saturday, a week later since the incident at school. Throughout the entire week, I had to hide my swollen cheeks from my family. It wasn't easy but thankfully, I pulled it off. Surprisingly as well, Josh didn't get into trouble at school for starting a fight with Troy. Troy didn't even went to the principal about the incident, but then again he knew he was in the wrong and would be in as much trouble.

Now, my brothers and I were currently in the living room watching TV. My mother got a day off today and she was in the kitchen baking cookies. It was now 2:00pm and the movie we were watching had just ended. The credits was rolling up on the screen when I felt my phone buzzed beside me. I took it up and saw that I had a text message from Josh.

Josh: Get ready. I'm picking you up in fifteen minutes. Wear a bikini ;) Xx

I smiled at my phone and got up from the couch. I caught Andrew's eyes and he smirked at me, knowing exactly who had texted me. I ran up the stairs to get dressed. I put on my favourite purple bikini and put on a yellow floral dress over it. I put all my essential items in my bag and run back downstairs to the kitchen.

"Mom, I'm going out with Josh, okay?" I told her as I entered the kitchen. She looked up from kneading the dough and smiled mischievously.

"You have been spending a lot of time with him. Are you guys dating?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, Mom." I said looking at the floor.

"Why wasn't I been informed of this before?" She asked placing her hands on her hips.

"We only just started talking. It's only a week now." I said shuffling my feet nervously.

My mother burst out laughing and I looked at her confused. "It's okay, sweetheart. But I want to meet him officially. Please invite him over for dinner later." She said giving me a stern look.

"Okay, Mom. Will do." I replied smiling back.

"Okay, Lexie. You can go." She said smiling at me. "Have fun."

"Thanks Mom. I will." I replied going up to her giving her a kiss on the cheek before I left the kitchen. My phone buzzed and it was Josh telling me that he was outside. I went into the living room and saw that only Jason was watching TV now.

"Bye Jason!" I said waving at him.

"Bye." He replied, his eyes glued to his favourite program; Ben 10. I shook my head and open the front door to see Josh on the other side. He smiled when his eyes land me.

"Hey, Cupcake. Ready to go?" He asked and I nodded. We both went to his car and left for the beach. It was a beach out of town, so it took forty five minutes to get there.

When we got there, Josh parked the car and we got out and walked to a nice spot to lay our towels down. After setting up our towels, I pulled the dress over my head and placed it on the towel. I noticed Josh raking his eyes over my body with appreciation and I blushed a little.

"Wow!" He breathed as he continued to look at me.

I just gave him a smile and sit down on my towel to apply sunscreen. It was my turn to ogle Josh as he took off his shirt. Man, he is hot! His six packs stood out on his hard stomach. I looked away refraining from running my hands over his smooth muscles.

"I'm going for a swim. Coming?" He asked looking down at me.

"Yeah." I said holding my hand out so he could help me up. After helping me up, he crouched in front of me.
