Chapter 7: Infiltrating the Duke's Palace Part 2

" Where do you think you're going?"

The man charged forward with his weapon in hand. He jumped up to the sky just above Gorin with his mallet just above his head. Then he lunged down to hit Gorin. Gorin dodged just in time and the mallet hit the roof creating a hole.

" Tch." Gorin said.

He encircled the man with his red flames. The man then circled around very fast with his hands on the mallet and his hands outstretched. Suddenly the fire was turned off.

" Ugh, hmmm I see. You turned around real fast to make the wind fast enough to turn off the fire."

" Nice move for a non- sorcerer. But at the end a non-sorcerer can't beat me." Gorin said drawing his sword.

" What are you doing here?"

" Who sent you?" The man asked.

"...."

" No matter I most eliminate you." The man said pulling off a dark blue coat he wore and tossing it to the ground.

He brought out a sword strapped to his waist and held it firmly in his hands. Meanwhile a lightning sword was forming in Ashli's hands.

The man dashed forward with his sword in hand passing Ashli in a flash and landing behind him.

" You're fast, you managed to dodge the attack but you still couldn't dodge it completely." The man commented.

A drop of blood fell on Ashli's shoulder. He slowly placed his finger on his cheek. There was a small cut which bled. Ashli removed his fingers from his cheek.

" How did you do that, are you a sorcerer?" Ashli asked.

" No." The man said.

Ashli looked at him then he noticed the sword in the man's hand. It was a sword with a blue hilt and a golden dragon around the hilt.

" It can't be, that sword is... Are you the wind master¹?" Ashli asked surprised.

" Hmm, I see you recognize this sword. Yes, I am the ' wind master ', Chie Mayó²." The man, Chie Mayó, said.

" ..."

" I can't believe it ..." Ashli said.

" Uh, what can't you beli..." Chie Mayó said.

" I can't believe I got to meet you." Ashli said.

" ..."

" I really admire your speed and how fast you are even though you aren't even a lightning elemental sorcerer. That motivated me to get faster."

" And now I can't believe I get to fight you and experience your speed first hand."

" This is a dream come true." Ashli said with a smile on his face.

" ... "

He charged forward with his sword in hand making different crackling sounds. He aimed at Chie Maio's shoulder but Chie Maio dodged it super fast. Chie Mayó was at Ashli's side and wanted to cut through his stomach, but Ashli dodged it and was at the other side of the room in no time.

He turned around to face Chie Mayó but when he looked he was gone.

" Ugh."

Then out of nowhere he appeared behind Ashli he's sword about to pierce Ashli in his stomach. Then suddenly Ashli was surrounded by lightning bolt and Chie Mayó quickly retreated in order not to get struck.

The man was slowly approaching Gorin. His feet and one of his hands were badly burnt. He dragged his giant mallet on the roof.

" You're really persistent." Gorin said.

He had a few scratches on him from all the rocks and such but no real injuries. But the man on the other hand had been partially burnt and had a few injuries from the sword.

" We should go help the vice captain." A soldier said among the other soldiers.

" But he said not to interfere." Another soldier said.

" That was before,but now it seems he might loose." Another soldier argued.

" Alright, everyone attack."

They all charged up the roof to meet Gorin. Gorin then suddenly brought out a copper coin tossing it admis  the chaos and letting it land on his palm. It turned around on his palm a black aura emanating from it before it finally landed on tails. All this took a few seconds and before you know it Gorin was on his heels running away.

" What the ...."

A soldier went to meet the vice captain who was barely managing to stand.

" Sir." He said.

" Go after him." The vice captain of the soldiers said.

" Everyone after him, surround him." The leader of the group of soldiers said.

" Someone please come and carry the vice captain to the infirmary." The group leader said.

" Sir do not worry we will surely capture the intruder." The group leader said.

Gorin was running on the rooftops while being chased by a group of soldiers. An earth wall, created by one of the soldiers, suddenly appeared blocking his path. He turned east and decided to run towards that direction instead.

Ashli had some injuries he got from Chie Mayó's sword. 

" It seems you are quite fast, but you still need some work. You could get faster in the mere future if you trained. But that won't be possible 'cause I have to kill you." Chie Mayó said.

" I'm happy you complimented me and I got to meet you personally, but today I'm gonna leave here alive and with what I came for no matter what." Ashli said.

While talking he appeared behind Chie Mayó's back and he released some lightning bolt on him electrocuting him.

" Haaaaaa!" Chie Mayó screamed then fell to the ground unconscious.

Ashli ran deeper into the underground space and while running he heard some sound coming from one of the rooms. He tried to open it but it seemed locked.

He ran back to Chie Mayó's body and searched his body and he found some bunch of keys. He went back to the room and opened the door and he saw someone sitting with their back rested against the wall. The person was curled up in a ball and only the brown hair of their head could be seen .

" Are you Icilan?"

Notes

¹. The wind master is a title given to Chie Mayó because of his speed. Saying he is as fast as the wind.

². Chie Mayó is pronounced as Chiye Maiyo. Chie meaning wood and Mayó meaning cutter. He is not a sorcerer and can't use magic. He is under the class of enhanced humans, these are humans that can't use magic but their core can strengthen their body. He got faster through training.
