So today I am going to finalise on the meeting we last had with the board. After I will fly back to London. I was supposed to be here for a week but I would rather be with my mother the coming days than be here alone. The meeting took about 2hours and afterwards I had lunch and I called the jet to let them know that they have to be ready for take off. I told Tony my driver to drive us to the jet. Tony is my trusted driver I go with him every where. He's the only one I love to travel with on all my drivers.
He's quite cool, honest and trustworthy. Plus we also get along and I kind of see him as a friend and father figure since he's older than me. Since the peek of my career and my business he has been with me. He's also a good advisor. What I love about him is that even though we share a friendship relationship he knows I am still his employer. He takes his job seriously. Which is why I am so bummed right now since he's about to go into retirement.
So we drove about 30 minutes and reached the airport where we entered the jet and straight out of Italy we went to London. When we reached London I called another driver to come pick us up and had to go and drop Tony of to his house because I knew he was tired. The trips were non-stop in Italy and I wanted the poor man to rest.
After dropping off Tony I went straight to my mom's place not my house. I want to spend the remaining days there till I go back to work next week. I arrived at my mom's and saw her busy in her backyard with the flowers.

Damon's mom Sophia gardening.
Damon: I love what you have done to the place.
Mom: Ohh gosh honey, you startled me. When did you come back. I thought you were coming back next week.
Damon:I just came in. I just thought, why not just come straight here and chill with the most beautiful lady in the world. That's why I came earlier. You know any chance I get I love coming to see you.
Mom: Ohh sweetheart, alright you can go straight ahead and take a bath then come back for dinner okay.
Damon: okay mom.
As I walked in I see a young woman busy dusting the furniture and cleaning. Just as I was about to say hello I realised she is not the same woman who is always here.
Lily: Welcome Sir. Good evening.
Damon: Oh Hello, who are you?
Lily: I am Lily. The new house cleaner for Mrs Kruger.
Damon: okay?
I had a lot of questions but I just walked away. I walk into my room and I took a nice warm bath. I didn't realize that I really needed it so bad till I felt my muscles relax in the bathtub. As I was settled in the bathtub, I felt as if something was missing. Oh maybe someone, like a feminine touch. I realised I have been single for almost two years now ever since I caught my ex-girlfriend cheating. And she had the guts to tell me that she was just not that into me but in it for the money. To make matters worse she cheated me with an enemy. I realised I was about to get angry for something that I had buried in my past.
I finished bathing and went to get dressed in some comfortable clothes. After I rested on the couch and I found myself in deep thoughts as I thought of that girl again. I don't know her name but I have been thinking of her a lot. I realised it's my mind's happy place as of late. She's even dominating my dreams for that matter and the more I am trying to forget her the more I think about her.
"Honey, hey, Damon dinner is ready let's head downstairs." I heard my mom speak as she was shaking me out of my thoughts. "Sorry mom, what was that?" I responded. "I said, dinner is ready. I knocked my hands off your door and you didn't answer so I just came in I thought you slept off apparently I was wrong. You seemed to be too consumed in your thoughts honey. Are you okay honey." She asked with worry in her voice. " I am fine mom, nothing to worry about. Let's go downstairs." I said patting her shoulder as kissed her cheek and stood up from the couch. We headed down to the dinner table. We had our dinner with little chats.
Mom: So how was work in Italy?
Damon: Work is good, I can't complain everything is going well and according to plan. By the way I got nominated for the BPAs in eight categories this year.
Mom: That's so wonderful honey, I am so proud of you and all that you have achieved. You work so hard my honey, you deserve the recognition. So do you have a date for the awards ceremony yet.
Damon: hahaha the industry is rough and tough, it doesn't give you the time to rest. It needs lions that hunt and roar not the weaklings. So that means I don't have a date. I will be dateless at the ceremony and I happy about it.
Mom : There are plenty of fish in the sea honey, how can you not have a date?
Damon: For sure, for sure mom but this time around I don't want to walk the red carpet with someone I am not sure of. I want someone I love to be there with me. Don't you want to be my date?
Mom: No I am not going to do that. I want you to settle down Damon. I am serious about this Damon. You can't be a bachelor your whole life my son.
Damon: Okay mom I heard you. Let's change the topic for now. You didn't tell me you needed another house help? You can't recruit people on your own. She could be walking around here wired. I have many enemies you know that mom. I could have sent someone I trust here to help you out. I am going to have a background check on her as soon as possible.
Mom: I see you have met Lilly. She is such a nice girl. She actually can be a very good daughter in law. She is all you can ever want in a woman plus she can be a very good date for the awards ceremony.
Damon: Mom that's not what I asked. Right now you're selling her to me and I think I am not even the right candidate for the nice lady.
Mom: Oh Damon my son. It's okay. It's been over 2 years now ever since I saw you with a girl. I know girls do you dirty but you need to find the right one and settle down. I am not growing any younger.
Damon: Mom!
Mom: I want to hold my grandchildren Damon.
Damon: Mom!
Sofia: I don't want to die without seeing your wife.
Damon: Mom! You're not dying. I will get married. Just not now.
Mom : Damon.....you can't be serious right now.
Damon: I am serious mom. Let's continue eating before the food get cold.
Mom: You worry too much baby and don't worry about doing a background check on lily I took care of that already.
Damon: What? How?
Mom: You are my son, I know how you work. I didn't want to stress you so I called your security to do it and I told them not to tell you.
Damon: You never cease to amaze me. It's fine I guess since you did it. But next time don't do anything behind my back.
We finished eating dinner and did some catching up. We talked for hours before we headed to bed.
