After catching a whiff of a new demon's scent, the group of hunters followed the lead of the red-haired member. As they reached their destination, they were met with the sight of a colossal demon, its body resembling that of a well-built human, but its face bearing terrifying spider-like features. The sheer size of the creature was enough to send shivers down their spines.Anxiety gripped the blonde hunter as he clung to Tanjiro, seeking comfort amidst the looming threat. "What do we do?" he whispered, his fear palpable.
Tanjiro took a moment to gather his thoughts before responding, "I'm not sure. I've never encountered anything like this before." As he spoke, his gaze inadvertently wandered towards Nezuko, his beloved sister, revealing a trace of worry in his eyes.
"Ah, I think I have an idea," came a voice from beside them. It was Muichiro, the young pillar. His momentary distraction had been broken, and he was ready to contribute to their plan.
Carefully, Muichiro began explaining their attack strategy, ensuring everyone understood their roles. However, their deliberations were cut short as the demon sensed their presence.
"Shit," muttered the group in unison. They sprung into action, attempting to execute their plan, but with incomplete information, they struggled to make significant progress. Muichiro's mind raced to find alternative solutions, yet he found little respite as the chaotic battle unfolded.
In the midst of the skirmish, the demon viciously grabbed Tanjiro by the foot, attempting to launch him away. Nezuko, overwhelmed with concern, rushed towards her brother's aid, disregarding any danger that lay ahead.
"Nezuko, wait!" cried Muichiro, his voice laced with worry. He feared for her safety, his heart pounding in his chest.
"Come on, think," Muichiro urged himself, desperately searching for a way to help his friends.
Suddenly, a new scent filled the air, capturing Tanjiro's attention. Reacting swiftly, he stood up and strained his senses, trying to locate the source. Moments later, he detected a presence swiftly approaching from behind. He braced himself for an encounter, only to be met with a surprise.
"Onii-chan!" Nezuko's voice rang out, filled with relief and worry. She rushed forward and embraced her older brother tightly.
"I was so worried," she exclaimed, releasing him momentarily when she felt a touch on her shoulder from behind.
"We shouldn't shout, we might attract more demons," whispered Muichiro, his voice barely audible. Nezuko's face flushed crimson at his close proximity, but she nodded in agreement.
"Yes, thank you for worrying about me, Nezuko," Tanjiro responded warmly, gently patting his sister's head.
"Oh, right! I think there's another demon nearby. I caught its scent earlier, but I'm not entirely sure," Tanjiro revealed, concern etched on his face.
Just as they contemplated their next move, a voice interrupted their conversation. "Hmm, more food," the voice sneered, sending a chill down the spines of the three young hunters.
Standing tall and resolute, Muichiro stepped forward, his katana glinting in the dim light. "I won't let a mere child like you harm us," he declared, his eyes fixed on the approaching demon.
The demon scoffed at Muichiro's words, attempting to strike fear into their hearts. But the young pillar stood firm, evading the demon's attacks with calculated precision.
"If you hand over the girl, I'll spare the rest of you," the demon coldly proposed, its words dripping with malice. Tanjiro and Muichiro shouted in unison, unwilling to sacrifice Nezuko, their beloved companion.
In a swift and cunning motion, the demon ensnared Nezuko in its web, applying just enough pressure to threaten her life. Tension filled the air as the three young hunters found themselves trapped in a precarious situation. Tokito contemplated their options, searching for a way to overcome their adversary.
"Haha, it seems the little children are in quite a predicament," the demon taunted, its voice echoing with arrogance.
"Quiet, you pest!" Muichiro retorted, struggling to come up with a solution. In the heat of the moment, an idea sparked in his mind. He signaled his companions, and a plan began to take shape.
In another corner of their world, crows filled the sky, carrying urgent messages to the pillars. The crow belonging to the Insect Pillar appeared at the farms of the other pillars, signaling that someone was in grave danger.
"Ara ara~, it seems Tokito-san is in trouble," a certain girl with intense purple eyes smiled, springing into action with unwavering determination.
Simultaneously, the Water Pillar received the call, wasting no time in rushing to aid their comrades.
As the pillars converged, their paths intertwining, a battle plan was set into motion. Each pillar took their assigned position, ready to face the demons head-on. The Insect Pillar swiftly reached Zenitsu's side, finding him on the brink of collapse. With unwavering resolve, she defeated the nearby demon and summoned assistance to tend to the injured boy.
Meanwhile, the Water Pillar, Tomioka Giyu, sensed that something was amiss as he joined his fellow hunters. A determined glint flashed in his eyes as he surveyed the situation. He fought valiantly, battling the demon with unyielding resolve until he finally emerged victorious.
Exhausted and battered, Inosuke stumbled upon the scene, his body covered in blood. The pillars swiftly came to the aid of the Kamado siblings and the Mist Pillar, providing the necessary care and support.
"Thank you, Tomioka-san!" the Kamado siblings expressed their gratitude, their voices filled with genuine appreciation. Tokito simply gazed at Tomioka, his silent appreciation speaking volumes.
"My legs are throbbing. Those webs nearly cut off my circulation," Nezuko murmured, her legs bearing deep marks from the encounter.
"Do they hurt a lot?" Muichiro inquired, concern evident in his voice.
"Just a little. It'll pass," Nezuko replied with a soft smile, trying not to worry her companions. Yet, she couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort as Muichiro scooped her up, carrying her "princess-style" in his arms. She blushed, protesting slightly, but he reassured her with a warm smile.
"Are you sure I shouldn't ask for assistance?" the Insect Pillar offered, noticing the fatigue etched on Muichiro's face.
"No, I'm fine," Muichiro replied, his voice filled with determination, refusing to burden his friends with his weariness.
Together, they embarked on their journey toward the Butterfly Estate, where Shinobu would tend to their injuries. Fatigue weighed heavily on Muichiro, but a sense of fulfillment warmed his heart. Though exhausted, he knew the effort was worth it. And with that, another chapter of their adventure came to a close.
