Well I came home that evening. My high school didn't feel right but looks who's talking. I went up the stairs to my room. "Skylar!" I stop in my trail. "It's dinner time!" I sigh and walk back down stars throwing my backpack on the couch. As I grabbed my dads grilled chicken and green beans I feel the hairs on my neck stand on end. My head quickly turns to look out the glass back door. Nothing. Just endless woods. I shrug and sit down at the table. "Where's mom?" I ask politely. "She's at work, finishing up on paper work, you know the usual". I nod and keep eating as we sit in silence. It felt like we were sitting there eating for years. My phone all of a sudden in my lap and I dropped my fork on my plate making a loud clank. My face all of a sudden turned red, "Uh sorry, Natalie texted me" I had to say it as confident as I could. I finish my dinner and run upstairs. I was finally alone, I never really liked texting near my parents. They are always to protective. I remember a few years ago my parents flipped out cause I texted one boy. They went through my phone and said we were "dating" . I checked my phone and the name said Stefan Salvatore:

"That was weird" I mutter to myself. The hairs on my neck stand on end again as I turn to look out my window, but this time I didn't see just woods. I saw the light brown eyes of my wolf. I turned out the light and kept staring until he turned and padded off into the blackness.
