Chapter 1

"Families are like branches on a tree. We grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one."

Dad had arrived swiftly after the boys were done making up their funny, yet unrealistic stories. He wished us a happy birthday, from him and the Weasley's, before giving us our presents, whilst mum busied herself in the kitchen.

"Michael Ray!" Mum yelled, making me jump. "You were not supposed to give them their presents yet! Cake comes first."

"I know darling, but look at their pleading faces," he told her, gesturing to both Addi and I, to which we pouted our lips at her.
She sighed and stood there for a moment.

"Alright, tear into them." She rolled her eyes, but smiled as both Addi and I dove into the wrapped boxes and parcels.

Inside the shared gift, we had a poster of the Bulgarian Quidditch team.

"Merlin! Where did you get these?" My twin cried.

"Doesn't matter, as long as you like it." Our father smiled at us.

"We love it!" We chimed simultaneously.

"Alright, alright. Now, it's time you opened my present," Grayson begged, handing us both really long boxes, to which we stared at them, wondering what mischief could jump out at any given moment. "Well don't just sit there! Open them!"

I shrugged, and tore off the paper.  We broke open the boxes, and inside, were each, a Nimbus 2000. My eyes widened, and I sat up in my seat as I stared at the majestic broom, the latest broom that had just come out. They were really expensive, and rare to have. I was amazed at the level of generosity. 

"Bloody hell! How did you afford one of these? Let alone two!" I gaped at him.

Grayson shrugged. "Took some money from my vault at Gringotts."

"How much money do you have?" Addison asked, stroking her broom gently, as if it wasn't real.

"I have quite a bit I guess. I never really spend much of it, only when I really need something, or in this case, for my two favorite twins' birthday!" He cheered, ruffling the tops of our messy heads.

"Hey!" Cried Emmaline, "What about us?" She gestured to our other siblings.

"Sorry guys, but you aren't anywhere near as great as Addi and Sky here." He smirked jokingly, resulting in all of them frowning.

We opened the rest of our presents, one by one, each one was amazing and beyond what we could have asked for.

Rosalie and Emmaline put together their allowances, and bought us both matching lockets, which had our pictures in them.

Jordyn had somehow managed to get muggle money, and buy us a rather weird object called a "trampoline".

Jordan was interested in muggle objects, and thought she'd give us the trampoline to have fun with. The picture on the box had a few muggles who seemed to be jumping on the device. We still haven't figured out how to assemble the thing yet, but we have ages to do that.

Parker got me a new pair of converse, they were a vibrant purple and very pretty, he got Addison a new pair of flats, which were a pale pink with a bow on each shoe.

Brayden just gave us some candy he had stashed in his "secret" hiding place, which was just behind his little, cut out bit of wall in his closet. It's quite weird actually, it's like a door to a different room, only it's pretty small, and yet, it just looks like part of the wall.

Carter and Lucas got us pets, Addison's was a cat and mine was a ferret. It was actually really adorable. I named her Snow, seeing as she was solid white, Addison named her cat Fluffy.
