It was a cloudy afternoon in Atlanta, Georgia and I had nothing to do, I looked out the window and I seen my older cousins car pull into the driveway.
My older cousin, Yanna took care of me. Our mothers died in a plane crash going on a vacation to Italy. We were in foster homes all through out our lives.
When Yanna was 14 she promised me that when she turned 18 she would adopt me and she kept her promise.
We are 8 years apart, so are our mothers. We had an unbreakable bond. We did everything together to be honest.
I told her to go out and try find the perfect one for her but she claimed "Why need a boyfriend when I have the best cousin in the world to do everything with"
Her answer was good but I would prefer if she went out a lot more to go make friends.
I heard the door open and I made my way downstairs to see my cousin bring in groceries, I grabbed a couple plastic bags from her arms and carried them to the counter.
We started unbagging them while talking about random topics, one of them was school. I was new of course and I didn't have a single friend. Quite embarrassing huh?
I was getting slightly bullied and some girls were messaging me on instagram saying that "I don't show skin and wear too much long sleeves"
I didn't care though long sleeves are the love of my life. Period.
It was Monday tomorrow and me and Yanna went upstairs to my room.
"Hey can I pick your outfit for tomorrow?" She turned to shove her thumb in the direction of my closet.
"Of course but can I pick yours for tomorrow too?" We both smiled and she nodded while heading over to my walk in closet.
It wasn't as big as that girl Piper Rockelle I think her name is, but it was big enough for me so I didn't complain.
She spent about a minute in there and she came out holding an outfit that was actually really nice.

She placed all the stuff down on the top of my dresser and we both walked to her room and I started going through her closet.

We kind of shared the same taste in fasion and we usually borrowed clothes off of eachother. She widened her eyes and took the clothes out of my arms.
"Damn Jaylene you have good taste!" I laughed at her surprised tone and sat on her bed.
"We almost have the same style Yanna!" She placed them on her vanity and came over to me then flopped on her bed.
"So did you see any cute boys at school last week?" She wiggled her eyebrows and stared at me.
"Nope they all look like try hards to be honest." She laughed and grabbed her phone. I went on mine too and we filled the room with tiktok audios.

It was about 2 am and me and Yanna were watching 'The Black Phone'
"I wonder if I message Miguel Cazarez Mora and tell him to DM you, what would happen?" I turned to look at her and she went quiet after saying that sentence.
"Then I will be the one grounding you." We chuckled and we continued watching the movie.
After it was finished we said our goodnights and went to bed. I didn't have a night routine or anything because fuck the clean girl aesthetic honestly.

I set an alarm for 4:00 in the morning so I could sneak out and go for a walk. I normally did this so it wasn't new.
I put on sweat pants and a graphic hoodie. I grabbed my shoes and walked to my window. I opened it and crawled out.
I crawled to the side of the house and climbed down the gate that leads you to the backyard. I dusted myself off and start walking to the local dog park.
There was a bunch of trees that covered a big area before you find the river. I made my way into the trees and started walking in any direction.
I pulled out my phone and played some music. My favorite song at the moment was 'Francis Forever' by Mitski.
Once I was done admiring the sky, trees, water, and animals I made my way back to my house and snuck back into my room.
It was getting a bit brighter out so I stayed up for about 15 more minutes until I decided to go back to bed.
I just hope that I would make friends tomorrow, I think I'm gonna actually try.

Sorry I didnt make Javon meet Jaylene in this chapter, I just dont want it to be too rushed. And start dating the 3rd day of knowing each other cause' that's just not even realistic.
