POV:        THE GIRLS

         NIMEKO ~ MEK THOUGHTS 💭      I really wish our families just leave already!!! They be talking so much for no reason🙄. I love them but they need to go.
      "OKAYYYY y'all thank you so much but we are tired. It's been a long week ,and I do want to get some rest. Everything else I'm sure we can handle from here."

     ALAYSIA ~ "GIRLLLLLL I'M SAYING!!!! LOVE Y'ALL THOUGH !!"😁

        SANAI ~ "I mean I wasn't gone say nothing butttttttt 😁. Can y'all pleaseeeee go. Y'all have had us to yourselves our whole life we wanna be grown now 🤣!"

     NIMEKO MOM "Chilleeeeee y'all so extra. Anybody else would love to have they families with them."

NIMEKO ~ "To be real y'all made us get a 3br apartment in the neighborhood a street over from y'all😑. So we wouldn't quote on quote be that far away and y'all can keep an eye on us....🙄"

     ALAYSIA ~ "Didn't even let us choose the apartment🙄! Y'all did.... as long as we followed your rules."

       SANAI ~ "BRUTAL!!!! 1 No boyfriends until we got our degrees. Got them and y'all still didn't let us date😑. 2 No parties or unwanted guest in the apartment Y'ALL paid for. BUT didn't let us pay for our own apartments because y'all wanted us to not worry and focus on school. We have our whole lives for dating right ?"

SANAI DAD ~ "But it worked did it not ?Look at you ladies."
   
ALAYSIA DAD ~ "We did what we did for you! So y'all won't be out here pregnant and struggle to live your dreams! SO DAMN UNGRATEFUL!!"

          ALAYSIA ~ "NOBODY SAID WE WERN'T GRATEFUL! We are grateful and we are glad you guys did what you did. But, that doesn't mean we didn't want to experience what other girls were experiencing at our age!"

NIMEKO ~ " Like COME ON! We almost as a collective 25 years old and STILL VIRGINS!!! It's not a bad thing but damn y'all wouldn't even let us go to prom with guys!!! Just to ensure we didn't have sex. And put us in elite classes and had us on a tight extra curriculum activities schedule. We didn't really get to do what we wanted but what we were told. And it's been like that but every-time we said something to one of you we got scolded and for what? There's a lot of woman at our age who aren't doing what we are! We are grateful. I thank you guys so much for pushing us the way you did. We told you our goals and you helped us reach them but we still wanted to experience normal day to day girl issues.We didn't even have time to have a day off or downtime. Y'all let us take a break once a year. FOR A WEEKEND!! All the stuff y'all had us doing growing up we needed more than a weekend off. But now we want our space to make mistakes and do WHAT WE WANT. And ENJOY what we worked soooo hard for."

             SANAI ~ "We are sorry if this is upsetting you guys but this isn't new. We've come to you all multiple times and said something but it was always.... You don't have time to be tired . You will get your downtime when you get that degree. You have your whole life to travel those states and countries. They will still be there later etc."

                ALAYSIA~ "WE DID IT! We got our degrees. We did what you wanted whenever you asked. We played by your rules and now we are done. We worked to hard for this and our vacation and down time. We want to enjoy it without y'all trying to control us we are not little girls anymore. Y'all did a good job. We can take it from here now."

NIMEKO POV:
SILENCE .... Just pure silence. Our parents didn't know what to say. For like the first time ever. They seem like they were upset but then they just smiled. And said we understand. Not gonna lie it was pretty scary. Our parents were never this understanding it was always side comments. But I guess because of the outburst and what we accomplished they can't disagree with what was said and just accept it. But knowing our parents there probably is some hidden cameras we didn't know about in these houses. Me being the realtor that I am found these houses for a reasonable price. And my parents didn't say much they were just proud we like the houses and they approved. I'm guessing because it's private and not a lot of neighbors. Lord knows they probably did a background check on everybody in this neighborhood. 🤦🏾‍♀️ I don't know what it is but as me and my besties get older our parents act weirder and weirder. Like maybe they just paranoid but they are highly over protective. They had us start taking martial arts and self defense classes at the age of 8 and we just recently stopped because of the move. But we just helped our instructors teach other people since we had already graduated the class at 15 and 16. Don't even get me started on the weapons traning. They claim they just wanted us to be safe and know how to take care of ourselves but yearsssssss tho. You'd think we were a military family. But I love everybody I'm just ready to experience things for myself ,with my girls like we about to turn up. With us being on the schedules we were on we never took a day off even if we were sick. We never got contagiously sick just the norm. My mom and Sanai mom is into that herbal medicine so we don't get sick like that. We knew this was gonna be a long move so we have a lot of vacation time. And since we were transferred to Houston we have a month and a half off. We have more time we just wanted to get the full effect of everything first before we started working again. This is our first time with actual downtime. Constant days of being lazy. I don't know how ima act or what we are gonna do since we didn't get this often. But I can't wait I'm ready to just live my life and be happy. I was pulled out of my thoughts as the girls got silent after our parents walked back into the room. When did they leave ? What are the girls talking about ? I'm so confused. My mom spoke.

NIMEKO MOM ~ "We are about to leave. Look we love you girls and as much as you say your not little anymore y'all are still our baby girls. She says as she's getting teary."

SANAI MOM ~ "We just didn't want you guys to go through what we did. We just wanted better for you. We didn't mean to take your choices away or make you feel like your opinion didn't matter."

ALAYSIA MOM ~ "We just know what it's like to get distracted and derailed from your goals. We didn't want that for you. Now I'm not apologizing for helping you ladies shape who you are today. But I will apologize for being so hard on you when all you wanted were simple things we could've said yes too but didn't. We love you girls"

      Our moms pulled us into a group hug. The dads stood back and watched the scene trying not to get so emotionally because they are men 🙄.

NIMEKO DAD ~ "Your moms are right. We Apologize we just love you so much."

ALAYSIA DAD ~ "Yes I love you girls more than anything but you'll live we will be leaving In a minute. So you can be as crazy as you want🙄. Just don't get pregnant the first year on ya own now!"

Alaysia pulled her dad into the group hug.

SANAI DAD ~ " yeah yeah I apologize and I love y'all but please be careful. I would hate to have to fuck some lil niggas up about my girls. He said as he joined the hug."

SANAI ~ "DADDY ! We get it y'all forgiven and we love y'all too."

After about 5 more minutes we all broke apart and walked our parents to their cars. They were going back to Tennessee and the girls had their stuff because they wanted to stay the night in their places. WHICH I SOOOO UNDERSTAND. We watched them drive away and we kinda just stood there. Then burst out laughing in unison but smiling because we were excited and happy.
We must have been laughing so hard we didn't see anyone get out there car but there was a house across the street. One guy came out the house which I'm assuming is his and the other 2 that pulled up while we were laughing I guess got out the car and they were in a small circle standing talking and staring...... at us.
It was like we were all thinking the same thing because the girls and I at the same time said "DAMN😌".
