the guys played an amazing show. they had played the same songs from their last show since they hadn't written many yet. they had received a lot of cheers and applause from the audience. felix and jisung making sure to be louder than everyone else, as jeongin had told them to be.after saying a thank you to the audience, the boys left back stage again. felix instantly grabbed jisung's hand, pulling them back to the room they had been in before the show.
changbin wasn't standing at the door anymore, he was in with the band, telling them how awesome they did. so the boys just let themselves back into the room.
"you guys did fucking awesome!" felix exclaimed, catching everyones attention quickly.
felix and jisung went straight to jeongin, telling him how they made sure to cheer extra loud.
jeongin chuckled, "i heard you." he smiled cheekily.
"im glad!" felix beamed. "what are you guys gonna do now?" he looked around at all the other guys.
chan stood up and walked over to felix and jisung, putting his arms around both of their shoulders, "we all are going to a party."
"whos?" jisung asked nervously.
"ours." minho included into the conversation.
jisung looked towards minho. the elder gave a small, forced smile. jisung gave a very awkward smile back before looking down at his feet.
"you down?" felix asked towards jisung.
"uh.. ye- s-sure." jisung mentally scolded himself for stuttering over such small words.
"perfect. where are we meeting you guys?" felix turned his head to chan for an answer.
"5231 xxx st. its down behind the old movie theater on the east side of town."
"alright. we'll see you there." felix flashed a smile before grabbing jisung and pulling him out of the bar, going towards where they had parked a little down the road from the bar.
jisung felt like he hadn't even comprehended what all just happened. it felt like it flew right by his eyes. the show had ended so quickly, and then they were in the back, again. then invited to a party with band? and had he seen right that minho smiled at him? had he lost vision and imagined it all. no, minho had smiled at him. they guy who was such a dick towards him before the show had started.
"that minho guy seems to have some serious mood swings." jisung thought aloud, looking out the window.
felix chuckled, focusing on the road as they drove, "yeah, you could say that."
"what's even his problem?" jisung's face turned into confusion and disbelief.
"honestly, i don't even know." felix shrugged, "i think he just has a hard time getting comfortable around people. when i first met him, he seriously gave me the cold shoulder."
"how'd you even meet him? or any of them?" jisung just now realized he didn't know how felix even knew these guys.
felix took a deep breath, glancing towards jisung briefly, "i met chan a few years ago.. i met him before they even had a band yet. basically our parents are friends. so i met him when my parents invited his family over for dinner one night.. i'm not sure what it was but we clicked and have just been close friends since. and maybe less than a year ago, he told me him and his friends were going to start a band. they all went to a different school from us, of course, so that's why you've never met them. anyways, i didn't meet the whole band till around their second or third show."
"second or third? were they never with chan?" jisung asked, wondering how felix hadn't met any of the members till later on.
felix let out a small sigh, "me and chan didn't speak for a few months.. he was focused on their music and just getting them a gig wherever they could get in. i didn't see or hear from him, for what felt like, forever. that was till he called me. he apologized and explained to me about how he had moved out of his parents house and was just focusing on making music. he had moved with minho, jeongin, and hyunjin into an apartment downtown. it's right above a record store that also has a small recording room that is open to the public, if you pay. so that was a lot more convenient for them. anyways, he told me about how they had a few gigs already, but it wasn't going good.. i met them all at the first show i went to. jeongin was very sweet, hyunjin was very flirty, and minho was a fucking dick." felix shook his head.
"he didn't even introduce himself to me when we first met, and he didn't talk to me for awhile. it honestly pissed me off and i told chan about it. and chan told me that minho is a person who has to get what he wants, no matter what. and thats why he's such a great guitar player and apart of the band. his drive to make their band big is all thats on his mind. he's so focused on being the best, so everything is a distraction. he basically has no chill whatsoever when it comes to their band and music. he eventually warms up once he sees you as someone who's not going to threaten their growth."
"soo basically he's just a dick." jisung asked, more like stated.
"kinda.." felix chuckled, "he's a dick till he gets to know you."
"is he still a dick to you?"
felix shrugged, "not really. he says hi to me and smiles back when i smile at him... sometimes he'll ask how i'm doing but thats about it."
"wow, you guys must be real close" jisung said sarcastically.
"shut up." felix laughed, "it's better than dirty looks and being completely ignored." he looked over to jisung giving him a taunting look.
"hey he smiled at me earlier!" jisung defended.
felix furrowed his eyebrow and his mouth settled into a line, "were you dreaming?"
jisung punched felix's arm, "shut the fuck up. i know what i saw! and he smiled at me."
"okay okay. calm down." felix laughed, "i guess we'll see how he is around you at the party."
