Dearest, You Said [McCartney]

To Preface. . .

hello readers! this is going to be soooo long, i'm sorry . . .

this story (and hopefully a long series) is with none other than paul mccartney, starring the other beatles and maybe a few more familiar faces. i've decided to write a story about him to inspire my creativity and imagination. i love to read other great authors' works on him, but there's something special to creating one yourself. this entire preface is laying out  some backstory to the main character and the world she lives in, with some pictures too.

many people in this story are fictional and live only in my mind. the ones who are real may not seem entirely themselves, but what can you do writing of people you only know through reading? i like to think of this as some fun fantasy world where anything can happen, rather than writing by the books of 100% real life events. :) some things are going to reflect actual events, and some will be simply story. i do not claim to guarantee any historical accuracy, i'm simply writing things the way the world could be.

this is technically an oc x paul book, but it's all told through first person point of view of Marie Lott, so don't be afraid to put yourself in her shoes. i have thought about this, so Marie and her family hold special places in my heart.

as for any warnings, there are some topics that will eventually be discussed or described in these stories;

- grooming (this will not be explicitly described)

- drug use (this is the beatles we're talking about)

- unhealthy romantic relationships

- sexual experiences and actions, because smut

if there are any more that come up later, i will mention them at the beginning of the chapter to give you a warning. the potentially triggering topics are not being used as simply romanticized character development, but to expand on the life of Marie and to have a place to touch on my own past experiences. 

if you are like me and love to see visual references while reading, i plan to include them at some points to help you see things clearer. think of it as pictures of outfits, or the family dog, or photos of paul with a lady whose face is obscured. little things that make it come alive.

let's move on on the actual characters/backstory to give you some context.

marie lott is taking the place of jane asher meeting the beatles after their performance in london on april 18th, 1963. in fact, marie resembles jane in many ways. who wouldn't want to be a famous lady in her own right from a background of privilege, am i right? 

there's also many photos of jane and paul together, so it's convenient.

marie is a year older than jane, meaning she will be 18 at the time the story begins (typical, i know). marie is a teen movie star-turned-model (again, in some ways she shamelessly mirrors jane). she is from a nice upper class family consisting of herself, two younger brothers, thomas and ian, and her parents. there is a family dog and his name is Alfie, and he is a beagle. he looks like this beagle (not my photo):

writing hack : if you want to find a house that you like for your story and be able to visualize the layout, just look up houses for sale where you'd like the house to be. many times there will not only be many photos of the house's exterior and interior, but also floorplans to show the house's design.

but i won't rely on the indoor photos to reflect how the inside of her house looks, it's too white and barren due to being for sale. lol

after all that, everything else in story will be explained as it progresses. sorry to dump so much information, but i thought a long author's note would be nice to give you more than a description could fit. and you are able to understand where my book will go, and why i've decided to make this. <3
