good morning faithful readers! i hope you all are having a fantastic saturday😌

i was thinking about this yesterday, but all of my other books have some sort of song paired with them (or named after them) except for this book and the profiling 101 series. however, there was a song that nearly made the cut for the title. if i say, there might be spoilers👀

anyways, let the fun commence! as always, not proofread because why not✨

happy readings and stay safe besties! -salem🤍

"Good morning Nostia! I'm your host, Tiffany Evans, and thank you for tuning in. The royal family has had no problem transitioning to a new security team. The beloved duo hosted several outdoor events for the Interpol team, yet has not released a formal statement introducing the team to the people of Nostia. The secrecy from the royal family is expected but still cold. It's no doubt that the royal family has changed drastically since the passing of the princess's parents. However, the rest of us are all still wondering when will the royal family show us that warmth again."

"Good morning, Ansel," Emily said as she walked into the kitchen. The man looked over and smiled widely at her. "Do you know where I can find the queen and the princess? Have they eaten yet?"

"Both should be out in the garden still. We just took them their breakfast," Ansel said and nodded his head. Emily didn't say anything else as she made her way out of the palace and towards the two royals. She could hear the loud booming shout outs for her. It was strange that so many people, who she didn't personally know, shout random questions at her on a daily basis pertaining to the princess. However, she needed to get used to it.

It was a bright day out in Nostia. Emily was thankful that she managed to slip her sunglasses onto her shirt before leaving the room. She placed them on her face as she walked over to the queen and princess.

"Good morning, Your Majesty, Your Highness," Emily said and bowed her head. The young princess turned and smiled softly at Emily. "I apologize for running late."

"You're on time, Agent Prentiss," Y/n said as she glanced down at the vintage watch around her wrist. "Nothing to worry about."

"In my eyes, being on time is being late," Emily said and pursed her lips. She looked over at the young agent and tilted her head, gesturing for them to talk. "Excuse us a moment."

Y/n watched carefully as Emily talked with him. This was first time that she really got a look at the new head of security without receiving a snarky comment about her gaze.

Her pale skin was in desperation for sunlight, yet looked marvelous as it drank up the rays of the sun. Her dark black hair seemed to have highlights in it that caused it to look more lighter when the sun hit it. Her posture certainly alluded to her either having strict parents or having a dance background. Y/n studied her nose, chin, and lips and their strangely perfect nature.

Truthfully, it was like someone painted the woman and she jumped out of the canvas. She was almost too perfect looking for this world.

She couldn't help that her eyes were drawn to the Agent at nearly every moment they were together. Y/n didn't trust Emily, at least not right now. However, the curiosity was still there.

"Y/n?"

The young princess turned and hummed. Her grandmother furrowed her eyebrows as she held her coffee up, about to take a sip. Y/n tilted her head slightly, waiting for Margaret to say something.
