"Good morning Nostia! I'm your host, Tiffany Evans, and thank you for tuning in! It's been approximately two weeks since Princess Y/n's birthday bash. The duke of Mertz, Stephen Alexander Wells, has been spotted multiple times at the palace after sharing a very sensual dance with the young princess. Parliament is hopeful that these two love birds will be able to tie to knot so Princess Y/n can reign in, giving Queen Margaret a well-deserved retirement from a nearly fifty-five year long reign."

Emily happily made her way down the stairs a little later than usual this morning. She smiled at each passing palace worker as she headed towards the garden area.

The media, of course, all came to life at the mere sight of Emily. Whenever she entered the garden area, there was a high likelihood that the princess would be leaving with her.

Emily, however, had no intention of leaving with Y/n. In fact, Queen Margaret requested that Emily take the day off after perfecting all the tasks required of her. The raven-haired woman hastily agreed. It was torturous for Emily to watch and follow the supposed 'happy couple.'

"You are too funny," Y/n said before bringing her tea up to her lips. Stephen smiled as he glanced over at the queen. The three were about to continue their conversation when Emily walked in. Immediately, Y/n's spirits lifted as she took a gander at the head of security. "Good morning, Agent Prentiss."

Y/n's eyes quickly checked out Emily's outfit. For the first time since the birthday ball Emily was wearing another color other than black and was visibly more relaxed than ever. She wore some beige pants and a, seemingly cropped, loose olive green button down shirt. A gold necklace sat perfectly on her sternum.

"Good morning, Your Majesty, Your Highness, Your Grace," Emily said and bowed her head before locking eyes with Y/n. She could feel herself slowly starting to slip into a haze, but quickly stopped it by looking over at Queen Margaret. "My apologies for stopping by unannounced—"

"Your presence is always welcomed, Agent Prentiss," Y/n said and smiled softly. She was trying her best to have Emily keep looking at her. "Please say that you're joining us for a horse-ride later today?"

"I'm afraid not, Your Highness. Queen Margaret suggested that I take the day off, and I couldn't disagree with such great advice. I came to inform you all of my absence," Emily said and smiled forcefully. Y/n could feel her mood immediately plummet. "I'll be back later today."

"Enjoy your time off, Agent Prentiss, it's the least that I could do," Margaret said and smiled widely at Emily. The raven-haired woman bowed her head and walked back off. Y/n wanted nothing but to chase after her and spend all day with her. However, that fantasy quickly died when she felt a hand on her wrist. Her eyes glanced at it before traveling up and locking eyes with Stephen.

Right. Duties.

Emily quickly parked the car on the side of the road before stepping out. She headed down the shops that covered Nostia's main road. Her eyes took in the various businesses that this wealthy, yet still developing, country had to offer.

That's when she had finally reached the stark white building. It was more on the modern side with large windows and black trim all around.

Lawrence.
