3rd person's POV
"We're glad you liked it!"
"No problem."
"So... Wanna go to the field already?" Y/n asked, raising an eyebrow.
"About the... You know," Soyeon wiggled her eyebrows playfully.
"Okay, I got it," Y/n said, waving the girls off, signaling them to leave. Soyeon dragged the others away, leaving Haerin behind.
"I'll leave you two. Bye!" Hayeon bid a quick goodbye before exiting the room.
As the door closed, Y/n and Haerin found themselves alone, the room filled with an awkward silence. They exchanged shy smiles, the atmosphere tense like a scene out of a drama.
"Who are you?" Y/n finally broke the silence.
"I'm..."
"Spit it out."
"I'm, uh, Haerin. Kang Haerin."
"What a beautiful name!" Y/n exclaimed, causing Haerin to flinch slightly.
"Do I seem like a loud extrovert to you?" Y/n asked with a grin.
Haerin nodded, smiling shyly.
"I guess I have to be... So, how have you been, Kang-ssi?"
"I'm doing great, nim," Haerin replied.
"You can speak comfortably around me, I won't bite," Y/n chuckled, moving a bit closer, causing Haerin to step back instinctively.
"Why are you backing away? Something on your mind?" Y/n teased, noticing Haerin's discomfort.
"You're a 7th grader..." Haerin said softly, almost in a whisper, but loud enough for Y/n to catch it.
"How—"
"I heard about you earlier."
"So I'm famous? Wow," Y/n thought to herself, slightly amused.
"But my name?"
"I didn't catch that part."
"You know my grade level but not my name? Interesting."
"Does it matter?"
"Not really." Another wave of silence washed over them, neither wanting to waste words.
"So about the deal, will you accept transferring to my school? I mean, will you consider joining my school's broadcasting team for a month? I'll explain the details later." Y/n asked, watching Haerin’s expression.
"Uh, let me think about it... please?" Haerin requested, and Y/n nodded.
"Should we go to the field already?" Y/n asked, ready to move on.
"No, wait. I forgot to announce something," Haerin quickly said, grabbing the mic.
"Good morning, everyone. Sorry for the late announcement. All students can head to the field now. Student councils, please ensure there's no chaos. It would be embarrassing," Haerin announced, whispering the last part.
Y/n chuckled, amused by Haerin's concern.
"What...?"
"Oh, nothing."
They exited the room together, heading toward the stairs, shoulder to shoulder.
"Min! How was it?" Hayeon asked, sprinting over as soon as she spotted Y/n from afar.
