"Y/N you're so slow! Pick up the pace!" Lamb called playfully, the two had ventured off to the forest and had been walking for about an hour. Y/N simply let out an anguished groan in response to Lamb, it was true he was falling a bit behind but that's only because he was still so tired.
"Laaaamb I'm tired...and hungry. Where are we even going??" Y/N complained.
Lamb glanced back at Y/N, "You're hungry?"
"Yes aren't you?"
"I don't really get hungry, but I have some food with me for when I cook!" Lamb took a small bag out from under his cape, he opened it up and there were some fruits a vegetables. Lamb handed him the bag and Y/N took an apple from it.
"So what're we here for exactly?" Y/N asked, taking a bite of the apple.
"Well you heard about what happened to Leshy right?"
Y/N simply nodded.
"I did that. Now I'm after Heket."
Y/N gave Lamb an alarmed look, "Heket?! That's my old cult leader! W-we're not seeing her now are we??"
"So it's true then? She left Anura to hide in Darkwood after Leshy's death?" Lamb asked ignoring Y/N's question.
Y/N took another bite of the apple, "I guess.. It was more to sort of see if Leshy was actually gone for good- but you didn't answer my question are we seeing her now?!"
"Oh heavens no!" Lamb spoke, "She wouldn't fight me outside of her own territory. Now that I know she's only in Darkwood temporarily I have to change my plans.." Lamb looked forward at the long trail ahead of the two, "Come along, we'll walk through the rest of Darkwood, there's nothing here to fear anymore, except maybe catching a glimpse of Heket. Then we can check out Anura while she's still away."
Y/N finished up the apple and tossed the core to the side, quickly catching up with Lamb, "Did you not hear the part where I said that I used to live under Heket's rules? She'll cast famine on your whole cult!" Y/N said anxiously.
"I have everything under control Y/N it's really nothing to be too worried about. I prepared for this, I've been stocking up on food for days after I killed Leshy." Lamb spoke calmly, he reached forward, took Y/N's hand and looked up at him for a moment, "There's nothing to worry about. I would never put my people in danger if I didn't know what was best for them. Heket is one of many obstacles we will have to face before we can be truly safe in this world." Y/N pulled his hand away slightly and looked off to the side. The Lamb was so small and The Bishops were so large, they tower over everyone. The fact Lamb has already taken one down is quite terrifying but the way he talks about it..it seems like he's doing a good thing right?
"Okay...if you say so then." Y/N said. Lamb smiled and Y/N returned the smile.
"But. Now that I know Heket might not be staying here for too long, we might as well just explore, maybe gather more food and wood! Who knows maybe we'll just have a little camping trip."
"A camping trip could be fun." Y/N said with a slight smile.
"Then a camping trip we're having!" Lamb grabbed onto Y/N's arm and dragged him through the forest until he had found a good spot to set up camp. Once they got to this spot Lamb and Y/N gathered leaves and flowers to make sort of nests since neither of them brought sleeping bags.
Y/N collapsed onto the nest, "God I could really go for a nap!"
"A nap!? It's the middle of the day!" Lamb exclaimed.
Y/N giggled a bit and rolled onto his back to stare up at the sky which was mostly blocked out by the large trees. "So do you normally take your followers on random trips?"
Lamb chuckled, "No not really. They'd rather stay at the cult anyway." He began to set up a fireplace, "I'm glad you agreed to come along, I don't really have a lot of time to just talk to people since I'm either gone or building, and when I do get the time to talk to someone they just talk about how great they think I am. Cuz, y'know, if they don't they think I'll kill them."
Y/N responded with a sheepish laugh.
"You're different though." Lamb looked up at Y/N, Y/N fidgeted a little.
before he could even say anything to Lamb there was a sound of something rustling in the bushes near them, Y/N shot up and ran to Lamb, hiding behind him almost, "W-What's that?!" Lamb didn't respond, the crown on his head manifested into a sharp sword that he held steadily, pointing it at the bushes and ready to attack.
"Show yourself!" Lamb shouted as Y/N cowered behind him, Lamb looked a little closer at the bushes, he could see what looked like a robe poking out from them. He aimed carefully and tossed his sword at it but the person in the bushes moved out of the way just in time and fled before Lamb could retrieve the sword. All that was left of the stranger was a piece of the robe that tore off. Y/N rushed over to the Lamb to further investigate with him, taking the cloth that remained from the stranger.
Y/N's eyes widened as he analyzed what was in his hands. He clenched the fabric tightly and gave Lamb a concerned look, "This is the fabric Heket's followers wear. She... she must be nearby and whoever that was is going to tell her we're here! W-we have to leave now!"
Lamb's sword returned to it's original form as a crown and placed itself on his head, Lamb stared off in the distance, "No. It's them who has to leave." he turned to face Y/N, "Y/N, have you ever used a weapon before?"
