A soft morning light creeped into Y/N's tent, a tent that the lamb had set up for him just before it had gotten dark. Y/N groaned, pulling the covers over his head which were soon pulled off by that rabbit girl he met the day before.
"Y/N! It's time to get up it's a brand new day! A new day to worship our benevolent leader," Poppy reached over and pulled Y/N off the mattress.
"It's so early...no one else is even awake.." Y/N groaned.
"Yes, us worshippers always wake up a few hours earlier in hopes to get a glance of our leader."
"In hopes of getting a glance? Why? Is he not here most of the time?"
Poppy simply shook her head answering in a 'no' and Y/N felt a small wave of disappointment flow over him but quickly shook the feeling away. It made sense for Lamb to be gone, he's a cult leader after all not a friend. Y/N sighed then shooed Poppy away so he could get changed into some fresh clothes. Once changed he exited his tent and headed over to the shrine and sat down on his knees like Poppy and the other worshipper, but unlike those two he wasn't praying or really doing any worshipping. It wasn't something he was used to doing, this was always a job his mother or sister would have taken up as they trusted their leaders quickly and put all of their faith in them. Y/N, however, was a bit of a skeptic, he never truly believed in these cultist leaders but would never speak out due to fear of what would happen to him. Thinking a bit about it now, this was probably why he was to be sacrificed in his old cult. They must've seen right through him and knew he didn't truly believe. Y/N began to sweat nervously a little as he thought more about it. "What if Lamb starts to notice I don't really trust these sorts of things?" he thought to himself, "What if I'm imprisoned or killed... What if Poppy notices I'm not really praying and tells Lamb?" as these stressful thoughts ran through his head he felt something softly rest on his shoulder. Startled he jumped and looked up, it was Lamb. Y/N felt a drop of sweat run down his face, "He knows." he thought, "He knows I don't have any faith.."
Lamb cocked his head to the side with a curious expression the bell around his neck jingling softly as he did so. "Y/N, you look stressed." He spoke in a whisper, as if to not disturb the other's prayers. Y/N averted his eyes from Lamb's, not speaking for a few moments.
"I am...a little." Y/N whispered back.
Lamb took his hoof off of Y/N's shoulder, "Walk with me."
Y/N stared at him blankly for a moment then got to his feet, the two then walked off through the fruit and vegetable garden. Y/N looked Lamb up and down, he seemed like he was just about to leave, does he typically check on everyone before he leaves? He wondered.
"What's stressing you out?" Lamb's question interrupted Y/N's thoughts.
"Oh- well I just. I was thinking about my old cult. About how I didn't really... Uh... believe in their cause and such." Y/N said nervously, "Oh but I believe in you and what changes you are making in this world great leader!" He said hoping any suspicion Lamb may have had about him being unloyal were now gone.
"Do you even know why I formed this cult?" Lamb asked.
Y/N glanced at the floor then back at Lamb, "...no." he said shamefully.
Lamb smiled, "I figured, I should've known you were a bit of a skeptic I just didn't look too into your character I suppose. So I guess the whole worshipping thing isn't working out?"
Y/N shook his head, "Not exactly, it's kind of awkward actually. I don't even know what I'm supposed to be doing or praying."
"Well." Lamb crossed his arms in front of himself, "If I'm being completely honest I'm not sure what those other two are praying either, but we need worshippers and coming by followers who aren't dangerous or...weird is a bit tricky, but I suppose I understand if you aren't too trusting." Y/N looked at the ground nervously as Lamb spoke, "So. How would you like to come with me today to get to know me and my motives a bit more? You can help me collect resources."
Y/N smiled for a moment but it quickly faded, "what if this is a trap? What if he's just luring me out in the forest to kill me? The forest is pretty dangerous it would be easy to convince those gullible fools that I was just killed by a-"
Lamb took notice of his hesitation, "You can always say no. Trust me I'm only offering that you come along. Staying here all day is pretty boring."
Y/N looked at Lamb and thought for a long while. "Well.." he paused, "I guess I'll come with you. Just so we can talk longer."
Lamb smiled joyfully and clapped his hooves together, "Great! Though we must go now before everyone else wakes up."
