There were changes amoung us
I could feel the distance growing, expanding
It was a small change at first
We stopped seeing each other as much
Then the change became more evident
We stopped calling and texting each other
You stopped smiling at me in the hallway
So I stopped too
And now when we run into each other
It's more awkward than anything
I saw you last week
As I do every couple of weeks
You looking me in the eye,
didn't say a thing
I don't blame you for being silent
Even when there's so much to be said.
