Twenty-Six

~Demetri's POV~

"Thank you, Amun" I knew he was the right vampire to call. I remember him telling me a story about mates and one of them was about a true mate.

"Of course" he answers "Demetri? Has Felix demonstrated things he never would have done before?"

"Like blast lightning?" I ask

"Yes" Amun sighs "there's something you need to know, true mates because of how rare they are are also very dangerous"

"Dangerous?" Jane asks "how?"

"Listen very carefully" he says "Carlisle Cullen and Aro Volturi can never know about them"

"Why?" Alec asks

"Marcus was a true mate" Amun explains "he and Aro's sister Dydime could do things that Aro didn't like. Like be able to hide their thoughts from him or be able to feel each other's thoughts and or hear one another—but what really pissed him off was the power they both shared"

"What power?" I ask

"Together they could summon cosmic fire"

"Cosmic fire?" Jane asks

"Individually as you know Marcus can see bonds, but Dydime could create life. I don't know how but put together they could create cosmic fire"

"What about Felix and Charlotte?"

"I don't know" he says "but Aro will destroy either if they attempt to not be apart of the Volturi"

"What about Carlisle Cullen?" I ask

"Even though he is my friend" Amun sighs "I wouldn't put it past him to have already know Charlotte is a true mate. Carlisle much like Aro wants power but he believes himself superior because he and his coven drink animal blood"

"What do we do?" I ask

"Hide them" Amun tells me "or better yet, fake their death"

"What?" We ask

"Call Marcus and he will help you" Amun confidently says "he helped the last true mated pair"

"Who?" Jane asks

"His daughter"

"Marcus has a daughter?" We all ask

~Marcus's POV~

I'm staring at a photo in my room of my daughter, Stella. Mine and Dydime's star. Before Dydime died, we convinced Aro to let us travel for a bit. During that time Dydime gave birth to Stella. I managed to hide her from Aro since she was born human but after fifty years and only looking like an eighteen year old she was a hybrid.

I kept her hidden with the help of Amun, I know it was my coven that overtook the government of vampires but Amun agreed since he knew I didn't want any part in it. Without Dydime, life just isn't as lively as it use to be. I miss her laugh, the way she smiled, those beautiful blue eyes of hers.

When my phone rings, I look to see it's from Demetri "hello" answering it "Demetri"

"Master" he replies "we need your help"

"With what?" Putting my daughters photo away, she and her true mate died a few years back because of Carlisle Cullen. I will destroy him if it's the last thing I do.

"It's Felix" he replies "he's a true mate" that explains his mood swings and everything for the past nineteen years I believe it's been.

"How wonderful" sighing "how do you know for sure?"

"I spoke with Amun"

"Let me guess" Thinking "the girl is human"

"She is" he confirms "but what concerns us the most is Aro"

"Yes" knowing full well how Aro will react, he's never liked situations like this "off of Florida there is an island specifically for true mates"

"Where?" Jane asks

"Only Felix and his mate can find it" explaining "they will know"

"Does he mean the Bermuda Triangle?" Alec asks

"Yes" only true mates live there, long ago it was created by the first true mates pair for a safe haven for true mates and their families. I sent my daughter and her mate there and they have lived happily for years, unfortunately no children. But then they left for some reason and they died.

"But Aro will wonder" Demetri stresses

"Let me handle him" hanging up, I go to find Aro. I still have a few things from what I got as a true mate.

I find Aro reading outside in his normal secluded spot, going over he smiles at me "Marcus, what a nice day it is?" Sitting down next to him.

"Yes" I agree "it is" then I press my lips to his.
