CHAPTER 03
「 Mister Stranger 」
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ♡︎♡︎♡︎ WHEN EUGENE SAID he favoured [M.Name] the most out of all the people he knew, he was more on expecting him to be sweeter and nicer to him, generally how any other person that favours another more would act — but he was not entirely expecting him to be waiting right outside his apartment complex with several cars filled with workers and fully trained bodyguards, all bowing deeply to him as he walked out of the building with a perplexed expression.
"Have you been waiting too long?" He asked once he got inside the car, Eugene sat beside him with crossed legs and a cup of coffee in his hand, along with a thin folder that had his name on the cover. "No, not at all. I decided that instead of letting you go on your first day as my secretary alone, I'll be fetching you."
[M.Name] turned to him with narrowed eyes, taking both the cup of coffee and folder being handed to him. "Why? You know I can do well with public transportation." He averted his gaze from the shorter and took a sip from the coffee. Somehow, it was the perfect blend, just the right amount of sweetness and bitterness mixed in hot water.
"I just want my secretary to be safe, especially since you're newly appointed. News about you being new would spread around quicker than you'd know." Eugene answered in a light tone, uncrossing and crossing his legs in another direction. [M.Name] would've found this odd but ever since he became the secretary in their school, he's grown used to the latter's occasional unusual antics.
"Where are we going?" Another question slipped out of his lips as he fixed his posture, he took off his glasses to wipe it with the cloth in his pocket, waiting for the other's response.
Heheard the tiniest sigh come out of his president, yet his customer service smile stayed the same, "Today, we'll be going to the fourth affiliate. I'm sure you're aware of how the director of ONE-MCN can be, yes?"
