Don't Wanna Cry Era
————-
// Third POV //
It had been pretty late in the night when Seungkwan finally got home from his date, so late that it was now morning.
The date didn't go well. Neither of the adults did anything wrong, their personalities just didn't match up and they were respectful and self-aware enough to know that they won't be seeing each other again. It had been a lovely evening though.
She was a dancer who worked with Seventeen in the past on projects, so the two had some type of social relationship prior to this one night. She actually asked him out and he said yes because why not? It was something to do and she was attractive.
It wasn't that she wasn't a good companion but if you knew anything about Seungkwan you would understand that he wasn't shy, or rather he didn't mind nose-diving into social situations. She was more than just the exact opposite, she hated interactions with anybody she wasn't already comfortable with. She had difficulties putting herself out there and that just didn't mesh well with what Seungkwan enjoyed doing.
Woozi warned him this would happen. The guys didn't always hook up with the women they work with but when they did, the others would tell each other that it was dangerous being with their colleagues because if the relationship soured, then work would be uncomfortable.
However, all of the girls of PLEDIS who would go with one of the idols moved on easy. They were adults after all, there was no reason to be embarrassed or ashamed about what goes on in their personal lives.
Seungkwan's shoulder gave out when he walked through the door. He felt the tingle in his throat that has been plaguing him for almost a week now. He was waiting for it to just clear out on it's own but it made itself home in the man's body and became the main attraction.
DK's mind was so focused on finding food that he didn't even notice the body glowing in the living room under shot light.
He stopped dead in his tracks and after his brain worked out what he saw, DK held a hand to his beating heart and sighed:
"Seungkwan. Jesus, are you trying to scare me?"
He was only joking but Seungkwan's mood looked dark.
DK let this smile go and turned his face into a look of quarrel. "Did it go that badly?"
"Huh?" Seungkwan's eyes ran upwards at his tall roommate. "Oh, no. I just don't feel well. The date went fine."
DK tapped his back. "You need rest."
"I agree." He dodged DK's arm and went toward the stairs.
"Wait!"
"Yeah?" Seungkwan frowned.
"Mingyu said that he wants to talk to you in his room."
And just like that, all was meaningless.
Seungkwan actually worried that he was just hearing things due to being just slightly tipsy but there was no denying the look of seriousness in DK's expression.
"W....W-Why? What happened?"
DK shook his head. "Chan's gotten himself in trouble again."
"Why does he want to see me then?"
If DK saw the panic that was painted on Seungkwan he wasn't showing it. "Don't get upset. I think Chan lied about something, got you involved. Should just be a misunderstanding."
Seungkwan smiled absently and nodded, leaving one of his many roommates at the bottom landing without another word spoken.
