Summer Break

Beep Beep Beep

The sound of the alarm clock rang inside Charles's ears, now having the man forced himself to open his eyes. It was finally Summer Break but maybe for once, it will be nice to wake up late. As he was about to roll over to shut the sound, the beeping had stopped.

"Morning baby". This had put a smile on Charles as he loved hearing that morning's raspy yet sexy voice. Always giving him goosebumps, which reminded him to fully open up his eyes so he could see the man who was hovering over him. "Morning", he could then feel himself being cuddled again.

"So, summer break, what you got for us?". – Carlos.

"I'll say we'll do whatever we want, catching up on missed out plans, as long as I get to do with you of course". Both of them soon get up and took a shower 'together' to save water as their sole reason, well if you know what that means. Carlos then volunteered to cook for their breakfast while Charles got the dish duty. Soon they were packing for their morning activities; workout, hiking, and spending time with Charles's side of the family. Not that the Monegasque mind but he knows his family, especially his brothers. The last time Carlos had joined them they were all over him, with the constant pep talks and tests they laid on him.

However, Carlos takes on every time and time again that he had proved to them how much he loves Charles, he will die for that man if he has to. Rest assured he will make sure he will always try his best to make Charles happy. In a few hours, they all meet halfway as they jogged around the area, hiked to the mountain site, and then on board their yacht. For the Spaniard, he was and always has been in awe of Charles being shirtless, it was like the first time he had seen the man shirtless no matter how long they have been together.

"Ew, you look like you're going to eat him or something". Carlos blinked, breaking his stare from his boyfriend, and turn to the voice, it was Arthur; Charles's younger brother. The two sat down as they watched Charles and Lorenzo do flips from the boat to the water they go.

Lucky for the Spaniard, there were no more pep talks from the brother but they were now sharing stories of racing even though this was the time to disconnect from racing but it was and always has been the one thing they could bond over, and other sports of course. Within minutes, the same man who was seen jumping off the boat was now sitting on Carlos's lap. Arthur rolled his eyes, "How romantic, I might puke", and walked away.

"Are you going to sit around tanning or come swim with me?". Carlos smiled as he nodded, "All right, come on". The two then sprinted to the end of the boat and jumped into the beautiful ocean. The older driver swam to his boyfriend and Charles knew as he followed suit and close the distance between them, connecting their lips. It felt like forever, but eventually, they pulled away for air.

With a grin Charles pushed his boyfriend down, hearing the other gasping, trying to catch his breath. Charles was laughing and that was music to Carlos's ears. "Lord Perceval, did you just try to drown me?">

"Maybe? But no, why would I drown someone whom I love huh?". Then they splashed water on each other, racing each other back to the boat, and dried themselves. Taking mini boats for the both of them as they ride to the sunset, although the view was nice, to Charles's eyes, it was Carlos. He took out his phone as he snaps away pictures for him only.

Later that day, they had their late lunch together, and soon they were ambushed by fans. As much as Charles love them but a small part of him stared at the other man as he was somehow jealous of the way Carlos looked at them, for sure he was overreacting a little. Was he? Once the group had dispersed, they went back to their apartment, Charles was quiet for a while and the other quickly notices it. The younger man was on the couch scrolling through social media, Carlos sat across, afraid to spark anything bad between them.

"Are you okay? Did I do something wrong or anything that upsets you?".

Charles sighed as he got up to a sitting position. "It's okay, I was just overreacting and making a deal out of it".

"You know you can tell me, I don't want to hurt you again without me knowing". Charles nodded as he opened his arms for Carlos to come in and they shared a hug. After a while of silence between the two, the Monegasque broke the silence.

"I guess I was jealous a little back then, the way you looked at them so lovingly like I want you to look at me like that only, not them, but I guess I was just too selfish". He kept on rambling and in some parts Carlos could hear his voice crack and It pains him, getting up from their position as he looked directly into his eyes.

"Hey, I see that, I'm sorry but do you trust me right?".

A nod.

"Good, now I could never say that you're overreacting or not but I promise you, the way I look at you is not the same with them, I look at you like you're everything to me, I would give up everything just to be with you. I love them sure but that's because of the amount of support they gave us is endless in the end, I feel the same as I will support you till the end".

Charles's eyes widened as his heart skipped a beat at those words, gosh, he loves the man so much right now. He pushed himself to Carlos, hugging him tight and muttering apologies as the other kept comforting him and he too apologized for not seeing this sooner. After a while, Charles got up a little and decide to straddle the man's lap.

"Hi".

"Hi, caught me off guard huh?".

Charles smirked as he rolls his lips, earning a small groan from the other, biting his bottom lip, "I want to thank you for being a such great boyfriend, I love you, Carlos".

"I love you too".

"Good", that was the last thing the Monegasque had said before their hands roam over each other's bodies, getting rid of the cloth barrier, guess what? This is just the first day of summer break, there are plenty more days to spend with each other and more memories to make.
