"Where do you think you're going?"
Just as Minghao was wearing his shoes, he heard Youngjae's voice. He closed his eyes and muttered a swear word Youngjae couldn't hear. He turned around to see Youngjae standing in front of him, crossing his arms.
"I just wanted to go out with a few friends of mine."
"Which ones?"
"Seungkwan, Vernon, Joshua, Seokmin and... Chan."
Minghao knew he shouldn't have mentioned Chan the moment he saw his boyfriend's annoyed expression.
Yes, Minghao and Youngjae have been dating for 2 years now and they even lived together. At first, his relationship was what he had always dreamed of. Always going on dates, cuddling, kisses and they even made love to each other.
However after a year Youngjae was starting to change. He, as Minghao's friends would describe it, became more controlling and toxic. He would always check Minghao's messages, always go with Minghao when he would hang out with someone and he wasn't particularly keen on Chan. He thought since the boy was single, he was always trying to get with Minghao.
Minghao, as naïve as he was, believed him and his friendship with Chan was nearly ruined. However after a long talk with Seungkwan, they started talking again and Minghao convinced Youngjae the younger didn't have a thing for him. But Minghao could tell he still wasn't believing him by the look on his face.
"You're always hanging out with Chan, I'm starting to think you're going behind my back and cheating on me. You don't even have time to go out on dates with me because you're always out with your friends. I'm starting to think you don't love me anymore."
Minghao's eyes widened and his whole body froze. 'Didn't love him anymore?' He felt like he had been splashed with a bucket of cold water. Minghao loved Youngjae so much, his statement made him feel so guilty even tho he wasn't. He didn't even hang out with his friends that often. This was the first time in two months they were hanging out.
"W-what are you talking about Youngjae? I love you, I love you a lot. Me and Chan are just friends I swear."
His eyes were desperately trying to find a hint of trust in Youngjae's face and finally his featured softened a bit.
"I'm sorry baby, I didn't mean it like that. I love you too, I just get insecure a lot. How about you cancel with your friends today and we stay together?"
Minghao mentally let a sigh of relief and immediately rushed to cancel his plans. His boyfriend was important and his friends would understand.
"Yes of course we can, let me text them really quick."

"Minghao just canceled on us." Seokmin said with a frown while reading the text message in his phone.
"What? Why?" Asked seungkwan with widened eyes.
"Didn't say."
"I bet it's his boyfriend. He must have told him something like 'You're always out with your friends and I don't like you hanging out with Chan cus he likes you'"
Said Seungkwan with an exaggerated expression and a deeper voice.
"Honestly, if this continues, his relationship is gonna become even more toxic and it's going to ruin Minghao but he won't even listen to us."
"Joshua's right. And I can't believe Youngjae thinks I have a thing for Minghao. No offense but he's like a brother to me." Chan said while rolling his eyes.
"There's nothing we can do about it, Minghao clearly doesn't believe us and he thinks him and Youngjae are soulmates." Vernon said calmly while sipping on his coffee.
"Nothing WE can do. We just have to show him that there are other people who can treat him right." Said Seungkwan
"What are you thinking?" Asked Vernon with a very surprised yet amused expression. His boyfriend was always cooking trouble left and right and this seemed like no exception.
"No nothing bad or weird. Hey seokmin?"
"Yeah?"
You said you have a friend from china right?"
"Yeah what about it?" Seokmin asked with a very confused expression, unable to connect the dots.
"Let's invite him next time we hang out with Minghao."
"But why?"
"Oh you'll see." He said with a smirk as he sipped on his Iced americano, mentally praising himself for how much of a genius he was.
