Back In Business

A New Plan

Emersyn paces back and fourth through the kitchen and the living room.

"What are we going to do? Who else is a threat?" She asks softy

"I'm still working out the details but I think everything will be fine." I respond confidently

"But you don't know that, that's why you didn't come back yet."

"Right but Chris can help he's good at stuff like that, besides this house is untraceable it doesn't even exist anywhere online or paper."

"Okay but how am I supposed to send my ..our kids to school without feeling like something will happen to them?"

"So we don't send them for now."

"We can't just pull them out it'll be suspicious."

"Tell then we'll homeschool."

"We need papers for that."

"So we'll get them."

"But.."

I grab her and pull her into my chest. She takes the hint and hugs me tightly.

"Trust me Emersyn. I only ever do things to protect our family."

She nods her head gently. Chris rounds the corner in full gear.

"What the hell are you doing?"

"I found the real guy that put a hit on them."

"We killed him years ago."

"No. You killed the guy who took CREDIT for putting the hit out. And you won't fucking believe who it really is." He looks annoyed

I look at him suspiciously and he shakes his head and gestures to the kitchen.

I go with him and he shows me the pictures on his phone.

"I don't understand"

"It's complicated baby."

"So explain it to me."

"I will when we get back okay? I promise"

She nods her head gently and plants a kiss on my cheek. I step out the door ready to kill this bitch. Again.
