Freya's POV:

As I land behind the church with the coffee cups in my hand, my phone pings in my pocket.

Almost home after 12 hours of being in the car! Finally! I'd send a current pic but I'd rather not send a pic for you all to see the bags under my eyes #yellowstone

I carefully slip my helmet off and shove it in my backpack before quickly sending out a reply.

his snoring kept me up through most of the car ride so YES PLEASE ;___;

I playfully roll my eyes and continue to walk to the front of the church, seeing as people barely started to exit the building.

But soon as Yolanda stepped as well, her eyes immediately lock with mine. She quickly goes down the steps and her eyes light up in excitement, seeing the drinks in my hands. "Oh?"

"I felt bad after yesterday when I left without telling you so I brought you breakfast as an apology. I remembered you telling me how your Abuela used to buy you and your cousin pan dulce so..." I hesitantly explain as I hand her the coffee cups so I could dig through my bag and pull out the pink and white-covered concha bread. "I woke up early and flew to the nearest bakery which was in Civic City. The woman barely pulled these out and said these were their best ones but I wasn't sure if these would be your favorite ones so I almost got all of the colors and--"

Yolanda takes the small bag from my hands with a grin. "You're so cute. This is more than enough." She chuckles as she hands me the other coffee cup. "I'd kiss you but..."

I look around, seeing as some of their church-goers were still standing outside talking among themselves with their friends and family. "Yeah, I understand. Seeing you is more than enough for me." I reassure with a smile before tapping my coffee cup against hers and taking a sip of our drinks. "Looks like Court should be home soon."

She nods with a smile, leading us away from the front so that we could start walking to the grass clearing on the side of the building. "Yeah! Seems like our summer vacation is over, huh?"

I nudge her side. "But it'll give us an excuse to have study sessions at your place if you think about it."

She snorted. "Study sessions at my house without my mom breathing down my neck? Yeah, not happening."
