It was a beautiful summer day in the city. I woke up, stretched out, and looked out the window. I saw the usual cherry tree stretching from bough to bough as I felt the warmth of the sun. Today is going to be a great day, I thought to myself as I poured myself a glass of tea. "You sure you got everything?" My mom asked as I was just enjoying my breakfast of strawberries and creme oatmeal and sweet bacon. "You got your phone, your 3ds...?" My mom continued. "Yes Mom, I'm twenty-four not fourteen." I grumped back tiredly. "Hey, I'm not the one anxious for my job, Summer. That's you dear...You ready for your first day of being a video game tech professor?"

"Yes Mom, I better get my U-haul to New York City." I slumped heavily. " I'll text you when I get to my new apartment, okay?" "Okay dear," My mom replied and pecked my cheek. "Have fun!" "Sure, mom," I laughed. I ran to my U-haul and was leaving from Manhattan off to New York City.

(One forty minute drive and settling boxes into my house later)

I entered my two bedroom apartment and admired the view. It was not too shabby for an apartment. The walls were a bright ivory color, kinda reminding me of elephant tusks and that complexion for a simple color. The aroma kinda smelled like tiger lilies in the spring. It was completely empty, but not for long. That is, until I finish decorating and unpacking. My bed and couch should come in tomorrow, perfect timing for me to get new teacher uniforms. Who knew that my epidemiology plan backfired and I got a teacher job? Oh well, giving education to other people would make me feel better because I'm giving learners a big opportunity to create and design graphics, video games and websites. BAM!I heard a loud noise from across the hallway. Jeez, I thought as I was getting my portfolio and powerpoint together on my flash drive. I should go ask politely to quiet it down and assure him that I'm not frustrated or anything, I thought in my conscious brain.

I peeped out of my door into the hallway. No one was out by now. It was like, eleven o'clock in the morning. I guess people don't like getting out much. I made my way peacefully to where the banging noise came from. I knocked on the door exactly three times before this man opened it. "Why hello," the man said as I looked at him. I kept getting voices that reminded me of him, but I couldn't quite recall what the voice was. "Do you need something?" He looked at the top of his door with his eyes. "Yeah. Umm, could you keep the noi--" I started to get a good look at his face. "Mark...Fischbach?" I curiously mumbled and look at him more deeply. "Is that you?" I gazed at him for what seemed like forever. "Summer...Leverton? From highschool?" Mark, shocked, replied as we gazed into each others's eyes...

(The picture is supposed to represent what I look like. Except my glasses are a thicker nerd frame XD)
