So, it's three days before my birthday, and I already am starting to think about what I'm even doing for June second. I mean, I'm still teaching that day. I was basically just sitting in my living room on my couch reading a novel and pondering on if Mark was even going to do anything for me. We have been dating for almost a year now and I can expect pretty much anything. I was still reading a chapter of my novel and I get a ring from Jack. "Yo," I picked up my Iphone and closed my book. "Hey, lad!" Jack cheered and opened his camera, as did I. "Hey, bro. Glad I get to talk to you on this lovely Saturday afternoon." I smiled. "Same," Jack replied. "What're you up to?" "Ugh, nothing. I don't even know what I am going to do for my birthday. I still got papers to grade and I have to get these files done by the end of the school year. I'm just so busy I might even forget my own birthday! Haha!" I joked with Jack, and he started laughing as well. "Well, when does the school year end?" Jack tilted his head, puzzled.

"June third, so basically right after my birthday. Even if though, I have to already get my preparations in for next year done. Bosses orders..." I sighed. "Oh, laddy, it'll get better. I know what Mark is doing for your birthday." Jack dramatically added in. "Wait, what?" I asked Jack. "I'm not telling!" Jack winked. And with that, he hung up. "That Irish bastard," I mumbled to myself as I heard the door knock. "Oh, hey babe," I opened the door to see Mark. "Hey, babe. Love you," Mark walked in. "You too," I walked into the kitchen to make some lunch. "I have the day off today and tomorrow if you want to do anything, how about a picnic at Central Park?" I suggested. "I mean, whatever is alright with you," Mark replied as he took a seat in the living room. I made a quick salad and a couple of sandwiches with some chips and put that in a basket. I then rushed to my closet and got a big blue and black blanket. "Okay, let's go," I winked at Mark as we got in my car to go to Central Park.

We got to Central Park, and I always love to enjoy the view. It brings me back memories of when Mark and I would hang out after school and practice our marching for band. I love the luscious oak and maple trees that were spread all along the back of the lush green grass fields that were big. The scent was always distinct because you could smell the pollution of the car and other buildings. "Where are we sitting?" Mark looked around. "How about in the shade?" I pointed over towards some trees and started walking. I was loving every minute of having my hand held by him. I laid our blanket out on the ground and after I jumped on it and rolled around on the blanket. Mark laughed and joined me after. I pulled out some sandwiches and handed him one. I pulled out the salad and started eating. "You don't like sandwiches?" Mark joked. "I do," I laughed. "I just wanted some salad." I pulled out a Frisbee and ran out into the center of the grass. "Try to catch it!" I yelled and threw it. Mark leaped into the air and caught it. We stayed there for two hours before leaving.

That was fun, but I want to sleep, so I put my phone on the charger and went to sleep.
