I was pulled to the side before I could do anything. The hand still covering my mouth, the person grabbed me and dragged me quickly in to another hallway. I could feel he wasn't a grown man, which gave me a sense of relief since I realized it wasn't Dwight. He stopped and finally let me loose. I turned around to see a teenage boy holding his finger to his lips, signaling me to keep quiet.
I frowned in confusion. Was he helping me?
"Who are you?" I whispered, eager to learn what was going on.
He threw me a sharp look and I knew it was not the time to talk.
He then started walking carefully but quickly through the hallway, and I decided it was best to follow him. He was my only hope in getting out of this nightmare.
Following the boy's lead, I briskly walked through the hallways. He seemed to know where he was going.
Each hallway had many doors, around four on each side. Some of them were labeled with strange things like 'Burn Room', 'CMI Lab', 'ECM Meeting Room'.
He suddenly stopped and I immediately froze behind him. Then I realized why he had halted. Voices. Even though this place was usually silent, we could hear some people talking in the distance. A shiver went through my spine as I realized one of them was Dwight's.
Not moving a muscle, we both stood there listening. I couldn't make out what they were saying. Then we heard footsteps. Now, a door was being opened.
What I heard next made my stomach tangle inside me.
"The girl has escaped! Find her now!"
