There was no time to be wasted, and we both knew this. We could hear men running around, shouting orders at each other.

The boy turned to me and whispered, "I'm gonna get you out of here. Just follow me." The hope and determination was visible in his dark green eyes as I nodded in return, trying to ignore the panic that was forming inside of me.

We started running as voices were rising, chaos was forming. I only concentrated on following the boy in front of me.

Suddenly we found our selves in a much larger hallway. It was light up, the floor was white marble and the walls were a light grey color. I guessed this was something like the main hallway.

The boy didn't even look around, as he had been there before, and sprinted across the hallway towards a metal door, which seemed to be like the exit.

Hope filled my heart. I was out of breath, my legs were aching and my heart was racing. But it didn't matter. I needed to get out of here. I ran as fast as I could.

"Hey! You! Stop right there!"

The boy stopped and turned around as I did the same thing. A man was standing on the other end of the hallway. It was Dwight.

And he was holding a gun.

"Move and I shoot." he barked, staring at the boy. I could see he recognized him as hate filled his eyes.

Then he shifted his gaze at me. "If you run away...we will find you. Why not stay here, and we talk everything out." he said in a calmer voice as he started walking towards us, still holding up his gun.

I could feel the color drain from my face. My muscles tensed. I glanced at the boy next to me. He didn't look as scared as I was. I noticed his hand was closed, holding something.

"I wouldn't come any closer if I were you." the boy suddenly said.

What the hell was he doing? This man could kill us any second!

Anger filled Dwight and he started marching towards us. The boy reached his hand forward, revealing the dark red crystal he had been holding. Just when the furious man reached us, a glowing fire ball flew from the crystal and hit the man in the stomach. He screamed in pain as his shirt caught on fire.

I stood there in shock, unable to move, not being able to take my eyes of the terrifying scene. Dwight screaming and cursing, writhing in agony on the ground...men running and giving orders...some hopelessly trying to help Dwight...

Suddenly I felt a hand grab my arm as I came back to reality. Using the chaos to our advantage, the boy and I exited the building.
