While sleeping, I could hear Maya yelling, " GET UP ARI, WE ARE GOING TO BE LATE FOR CASS AND BREAKFAST AND I DON'T WANT TO BE LATE FOR BREAKFAST.¨ I groaned and rolled over remembering what happened last night and I cried for about 20 minutes and felt like a childish baby. Luckily, Maya was nice enough to let me sleep in her dorm room because I didn't feel like going back to my dorm room and seeing my dorm mates either.
After about 20 minutes, she came over and started to hit my head with a pillow making it dig in my head and it hurt a lot. I started to think that I'm going to have a massive headache because of her. " Get up Ari, I'm going to leave without you," she said a bit annoyed. I sat up quickly to make her stop. " Ok, ok, ok, geez I'm up, I'm up," I said with my hands up in surrender. " Get ready and I'm going to meet you in the great hall," she said never the door. "Wait I don't want to go to...." and she left. "alone." great. I groaned and shuffled my feet to the bathroom to get ready. I finally made it to the bathroom and look myself in the mirror and I looked awful. I decided to put on some light makeup, and brush my hair, and my teeth.

When I was outside of the great hall debating if I should go or not. I was nervous and I was getting a bit overwhelmed by how many people there were. I slowly walked to the Slytherin table and tried to see if I could find anyone I knew to sit down with. I quickly saw the group from last night and I sat down with them. "Oh hey, Ari," Gaby said waving at me. I waved back. "hi." I turned and Matteo was facing me. I wanted to move but everything was full and I just had to stay.
" Are you going to eat?" I could hear Mattheo asking. Why does he care? " No, I'm not hungry," I said looking down. I was looking down at the table and saw that there was good food but still didn't feel hungry. I remember that my brother was going to leave and then started to zone out. Pansy was talking about something and made me stop zoning out and saw that Pansy had a peanut butter jelly sandwich in her hand. Some jelly spilled out and dropped on my sweet pants. " Oh my God, my so sorry Ari," Pansy said. " Oh no, no it's ok." I tried looking for a napkin or something to clean it off. Then I found napkins near Mattheo. You have to be kidding me.
"Hey, Mattheo, can you pass me a napkin?" I feel so stupid that I actually thought that he was going to give me a napkin. He didn't do anything but just stare at me. "Please?" He did nothing again and I started to get annoyed and leaned over to get it for myself.
When I was about to grab one, he got it first. I sat back down and just stare at him with a bit of despair. " Ok, you know what, can you stop being a d*ck for once and just give me a fucking napkin," I said annoyed. He looked at me and made it seem that he was about to give it to me but instead used it to wipe his mouth. Wow. I rolled my eyes.
"Hey Gabs, I'm going to the bathroom to clean this out," I tell Gaby and she nods. I went t go looking for a bathroom and found a hallway and was about to look for a bathroom when I heard a familiar voice I wish I didn't hear.
" Are you looking for a bathroom, darling?" the boy said. I knew who it was and it was the one, and only, Mattheo Riddle. I turn and face him with a confused face. " Darling?" I said running one of my hands through my hair to block out my seeing to see if it was him or not. " You heard me."
He took my wrist and griped on tight and I tried to pull his hand off but he just gripped tighter. " GET YOUR HAND OFF RIDDLE!" He was walking to a room and then stopped. "You wanted a bathroom, well we're here," he said smirking. He loosen his grip and then moved to the wall while I was rubbing my wrist. "Umm, thank you?" I said looking at the mirror. He lends on the wall and chuckled. I felt like someone else was there and I turn around and saw a boy coming out of the bathroom stale and right there I knew that I was in the boy's bathroom. "What the f**ck are you doing here?!" the random guy said as confused as I was.
Then I look at Mattheo who had his head down laughing a bit. I walked toward him and said," Your such an asshole." he said, "Woah" and chuckled. I rolled my eyes and left wondering how he finds this funny and why would he lead me to the men's bathroom. I walked and made my way back to the great hall and sat back down with the group. When I got back I saw Mattheo smirking at me when I sat down. how did he get back here before me? maybe there's more than one way to get back here.
" Hey, finally your back. Geuse what, Cedric cheated on Stella with Cho. And now Stella wants revenge on Cedric or just make him jealous." Pansy said but I stop paying attention to what she was talking about. " So what took you so long?" Gaby asked. " I got stopped by a couple of people but I'm back now," I tell her looking at Mattheo who was looking at me back. Before he could say anything to me, Dumbledore stood up and announced that class was about to start in 3 minutes. Everyone started getting up and getting ready to leave. "Oh Ari, before we leave, we don't have the first two or three classes together but I heard that Mattheo has the classes with you and w a l k w i t h h i m. I have to go catch up with Maya but good luck." Gaby told me before running away into the distance. My eyes just widen that Mattheo Riddle has the same classes as me.
I started walking without him and then heard his loud feet catching up behind me. I walked a little bit faster and behind I could hear Mattheo yelling," Hey Ari, wait up for me!" as he sprinted to catch up. I rolled my eyes when he started to walk beside me. We got to potions and Snape was out the door waiting for his students to come in.
"Oh, Mis. Nott and Mr.Riddle please come in and take a sit."I saw a seat in the middle row and looked to the desk next to me and sat down and slouch in my seat and Mattheo sat next to me. " Go sit somewhere else," I tell him and he lends over to face me. " What?" " You heard me, go sit somewhere else because someone is already sitting there," I said while looking at him. "Really, who?" " Look under you." he stood up and saw my sweater and I was stretching because I was tired and he started to pull on my hoodie.
I tried to fight back but he elbowed me in my ribs. "Ow!" I yelled and he whispered a sorry. What is he doing? "uhm, thank you," I whispered. "No problem love" he whispered back. I saw that he had a knife in his hand and was carving his initials into the wood. Then he was also carving something else, A.N. Wait that's my initials. He looked up at me and then smirked.
We didn't talk for the rest of class and Snape said that we have 30 minutes left so he left us to do whatever we wanted to do. I've been waiting all day to say goodbye to my brother and now I can find him before it's too late. I sprinted up the stairs and made it to the top with heavy breathing.
I found the dorm room and the door was opened. I slowly walked in and there was one bed done and I knew it was his. I slowly walked around the room and saw a note on the nightstand. I grab it and it was a letter from my brother.
Dear Ari,
I tried looking for you in the great hall but couldn't find you and just thought that you were in your dorm room or somewhere else. I wanted to say goodbye before I left, really I did, but you know how dad is when we're late for something, ha. Anyways, I'll be back in a month and whenever you miss me, I left Mrs.Teddy on my bed. You probably don't remember her, but you used to take her everywhere, and if you didn't have her to go to sleep, you were starting to cry and wake everyone up. I think I got it for you when you were born. Just promise me that you won't get into trouble or anything stupid when I leave. I'll be gone for a month and I and dad will miss you a lot.

I felt like I wanted to throw something. My eyes were watering and my vision was blurring up also. I wanted to say bye but I couldn't and now I think if Mattheo did give me that stupid napkin, I could've said bye. I started to cry and couldn't control myself and crumbled up the paper into a ball and shoved it in my pocket. When about 15 minutes, I calm myself down and saw the bunny that he was talking about. I quickly grab it and squeed it in a tight hug as I would with my brother. I put the letter in my pocket and walked out.
