Mark has to admit that living with Vee feels... comfortable, unexpectedly.

What itches him the most is how domestic it is for him to wait for Vee if the latter has a late meeting, or how he'll cook them breakfast and dinner while Vee will wash the dishes like it's an unwritten rule.

The 'good night' thingy is also a thing.

The most unexpected part of their temporary play-house is how clingy Vee can actually be, the thing that he does often is to lean on Mark's shoulder during the movie or falls asleep on Mark's thighs. And let's not forget the highlight, where Vee sometimes accidentally hugs Mark in his sleep like Mark is a bolster.

It's not supposed to bother Mark, really, since Vee is not his type. But the most annoying and disturbing part is that Mark actually enjoys it. Yes, you didn't read it wrong, Mark actually enjoys play-house with Vee!

"So in other words, you're falling for him," Kamphan states while chewing a cookie.

"What the fuck, Kam?! He has a girlfriend, a beautiful one if I might add!" Mark replies.

"It doesn't answer my question though."

"But, Kamphan, it can be because I feel comfortable, it doesn't mean I'm falling for him!"

"You know you were supposed to be angry at him for kissing you without your consent, right? Normal people without feelings would be. Yet, you kissed him back."

Mark blinks once, twice, and he crouches down with a groan, "Noooooo! It can't be!"

The door opens and reveals the cause of the turbulence in Mark's mind.

Mark asked permission to go home first and invite Kamphan before, so Vee, who gets home much later for another late meeting, isn't surprised to see the accountant there.

"Hey, Kam," Vee greets casually while putting off his shoes, "smells good in here. What did you make for dinner, midget?"

"Grilled chicken with hainan rice," Mark answers automatically without moving from his position crouching on the floor, "you want dinner or shower first?"

"Shower first, I feel gross," Vee answers.

"You're always gross," Mark snickers.

He flicks Mark's forehead while passing by and Mark pays back by slapping his calf.

It's a usual occurrence for them.

Wait—

"Hmm," Kamphan hums calmly, sipping his tea this time, "you guys do look domestic."

"I'm not going to be a homewrecker," Mark stands up as he opens the fridge to take the grilled chicken he stored there before, "no, no, this is just because we stay together. I'll go back to normal once I'm good enough to live in my own apartment."

Mark proceeds to warm the food while waiting for Vee to finish his shower. He adds some chopped leeks into the clear soup accompanying the meal and also prepares a glass of ice water like Vee usually prefers after a hot shower.

"Ahh, a hot shower is the best after a long workday," Vee reappears at the same time Mark finishes preparing his dinner.

Mark puts the food on the table, "Here, I've warmed it up, and here, ice water."

"Thanks, midget," Vee grins as he takes a seat on the stool and gulps down the ice water.

"We ran out of salt by the way," Mark announces while refilling Vee's glass.

"I'll go after this, I also ran out of shampoo," Vee answers between his chewing.

"Okay, buy me some leeks too."
