The truth can hurt but if left untold the results are destructive, obliterating everything in it's path. The truth will not only be set free but links shattered, lives crumbling and people betrayed.
The truth can be altered but never left. You can throw somebody else under the bus but the truth will claw them out and lock you in their cell. If you lie to make someone forgive you they will never be the same when they find out, they won't look at you the same.
It's never too late for the truth. For the truth is the only redemption for the world. Trust and truth are the only things that are solid. However, you cannot have one without the other.
The next time something happens and you plan to throw another under the bus think, the person I'm lying to will find out and the person I'm hurting will never forget.
The truth is hard. But, it hurts finding out what you thought was concrete is just a lie. Thin and frail. breakable and changeable. It hurts more than the little relief a lie can bring. It hurts so much that it changes a person. When we lie we loose a part of ourselves and by the time we die we will have nothing left.
