SPOILERS FOR OMORI, AND DEATH/ SUICIDE

KEL'S POV

I stood there at the top of the stairs, paralyzed in fear. There lay at the bottom, Hero, who was most obviously dead. Basil came from round the corner, staring at Hero's body. He look at me, tears in his eyes.
"Kel.. what did you do?!"

I didn't answer him. I just stood there, in shock. Basil started to grab Hero's arms, trying to pull him up. I slowly walked down the stairs, before picking up Hero's legs and pulling him up the stairs. We went into our room, and dropped him onto his bed.

I sat down next to his bed, resting my head next to his body gently. I cry, begging for him to wake up, like this was a dream. But of course, he never did. He just lay there, pale as a ghost.

"He's not going to wake up, Kel."

I tried to block out Basil's words. I didn't want to believe him. I didn't want to believe any of this.

"You have to tell everyone else what happened."

I looked at Basil.

"I.. I can't tell them what happened. They will hate me."

"We can frame it as a suicide then."

I stay quiet. It's an idea. It's better than telling everyone what happened.

I stood up, and grabbed Hero's legs. Basil grabbed his arms, and once again, we were in the stairs, carrying Hero down to the back garden.

Once we were out there, Basil grabbed the skipping rope that was on the floor, and started to wrap it around Hero's neck. I just stood there watching. I didn't want to do this, but I also didn't want to tell the others what happened.

He threw the rope over the tree branch, and called me over to help him. We both pulled on the rope, pulling Hero's body up higher and higher. Basil steps on a stool, and ties the rope around the tree branch.

We stepped back, and looked at the tree. There, hung Hero, as if this was how he really died.

(SORRY I TRIED AT THE PICTURE, I WAS RUSHING IT LOL)

(He has no neck)

I cried, my only brother, my only sibling was dead, and it was my fault.
"Atleast they won't know it was you."

A few days later

Mari rushed out the back door, greeted by Hero's pale body. She collapsed on the floor. She was followed by Sunny and Aubrey, who also collapsed. Aubrey threw up after a while, though I'm not surprised. Sunny just stared at Hero, emotionless like always, but it's obvious you could tell he was also shocked. Mari sat there, crying her eyes out, begging for this to be some dream, and for Hero to come back.

Me and Basil, since we knew he was dead, and knew what happened to him, we had to fake a reaction. Well, Basil was the only one who really faked it. I just let all my emotions out at once. Even though I knew how he really died, I still didn't want to believe this was a reality.

AUTHORS NOTE

So yea. Here's the first oneshot in this book. I might do a part 2 of this, where they are in the hospital and they learn the truth, so you can put in this chapter how you think Aubrey, Sunny and Mari would react.

Also this was inspired by the Final duet video, but instead of it being Sunny and Mari, it was Kel and Hero.
