It's been almost a year since Sam had come home after one of his patrols he seemed different than he was when he left this morning. He looked like he was so lost in thought that he didn't even greet me like he usually does with kisses all over my face he just went and sat down in his spot at the head of the dining room table and just stared at the table. I watched him as he just sat there thinking before I looked around at the rest of the guys as they all stared at him too. Sam just sat there in a daze for like thirty minutes before we started to get worried we all decided to find out what happened to him while he was on patrol. I slowly walked over to him and touched his shoulder as I placed a plate of blueberry muffins in the middle of the table. Once I had successfully gotten his attention I asked him what happened and he said that he really didn't know. Paul then asked him why he looks like he was trying to answer all of life's questions to which he replied that while he was patrolling he smelt something strange he said that it smelled like lilacs and oranges, but that there was something different about it. This caught the others attention and they all asked him what he meant? He then turned his attention to the rest of the pack and said that not only did she smell like lilacs and oranges she had a slight smell of death that if you weren't focused on it you'd never know it was there. Hearing this had everyone looking at him with curiosity waiting for him to continue, but before he could Jake asked him why he didn't call for back up and Sam said that the new vampire was on Cullen territory not causing any trouble. He told us that he stayed in the shadows just watching the vampire as said vampire walked to the river that separates our lands and climbed up on a boulder and just sat there looking around before it politely asked him to reveal himself stating that it new he was watching it. Then he said he went and phased back and got dressed before he showed himself to it. Then he told us about how it introduced itself to him and rambled a bit before saying that now that he knew it's name that it's only fair to learn his name and saying that he also introduced himself to it. Then he said that it explained to him that she wasn't a danger to him or any human for that matter. Before he continued with his story he asked Jake, Quil, and Seth to get the tribe elders so they can hear what else he had to say. Replying with an yes Alpha they ran out the door and jumping off the porch shifting before they even landed on the ground. He then stood up and greeted me like usual then said he was going to get cleaned up before the council arrived and walking towards the bedroom. I stood there listening for the door to shut before I turned to the others and said What The Fuck was all that about? Leah then spoke up and said that maybe the new vampire did some kind of mumbojumbo on him making the rest of us panic a little, but he must of heard her cause he came back out sitting down again and saying that it didn't do anything to him and wasn't at all hostile towards him like the other leeches they've encountered before. When he was done speaking the guys returned with the tribe elders. I asked them if they wanted anything to drink and they all said coffee would be great. Then Billy being the chief of the tribe asked Sam what we all were thinking and that was what else he could tell them about this mysterious new vampire he had encountered at the treaty line. Sam told them he'd continue when they had their coffee and when I was sitting in his lap. Once the coffee was done and handed to anyone who wanted it I took my place upon Sam's lap as he pulled me closer to him and began telling them what he had previously told us. Billy, Old Quil, and Uncle Harry all looked between themselves before Uncle Harry asked if he thought this new vampire was a danger to our people or any human for that matter and Sam said that it was very polite to him and that it would like to introduce itself to the tribal leaders one day. Then the ever so silent Old Quil spoke up and asked if it was male or female causing everyone's attention to turn to my wolf. Sam replied with it's a tiny little strange female who is mated to the one called Jasper then he proceeded to take his phone out of his shorts pocket and unlocked it and opening the gallery to what I have learned is to show us all a picture of the vampire that has him questioning our tribe's age old feud with the Cullens. Finding the picture he wanted he clicked on it making it bigger then he showed it to me
