Grant wasn't more than five feet from where I was standing. I witnessed him cuss as he looked around for his missing date. It was clear how much he liked her, which works out perfectly for me. I need him to care more about her than himself. It was time for me to see how much he truly cared about his little lady.

"Grantheis?" I pretended to be shocked as I approached him. I didn't want him to sniff out the trap before it was set.

He whipped his head around so fast I was surprised he didn't break his neck. "What did you do?"

I took a careful step towards him. "Oh nothin', but I thought you was looking for your lover."

"Don't ever call us that, especially in front of her. Where is she you f**king creep?!" He boomed, clenching his jaw.

"Come with me." I say, turning on my heel. Angry steps follow me to the cloning room, the only place I know I can talk to him privately. I engage all the door's locks before I speak again. I was not about to let him run away before I was finished with him.

What?!" Grant says, checking the room for the girl who'd stolen his heart and hopefully mind.

I motion for him to sit down on one of the cold metal chairs but he keeps searching. "I need a favor that I think will benefit us both."

He freezes. "Why are you talking like that? You sounded normal for a second."

I nod. "See how serious this is?"

"What's the favor you want me to do that I won't? Go on, humor me, but make it quick because I want her back like yesterday and I'm getting antsy."

I chuckle. "Always the impatient one. Haven't you heard that good things come to those who wait?" When he doesn't say anything I go on. "I want Wishes."

"Okay." He says, drawing out his syllables.

I make my way to him with confidence. "She wants you, I want her and you want that lovely blonde lady you brought here. So, it seems like if she wanted me you and I could both get what we really want."

"Yeah I'd love for Wishes to stay out of my shower, but let's be real it's not going to happen in this lifetime." He scuffs.

I choose my next words very carefully. "You're right, she won't leave you alone, but if she thinks I'm you you'd be off the hook, correct?"

"Stop talking like that, it's creeping me out." He pauses, what I said finally sinking in. "How would she think you're me? We are literally night and day."

"I have the ability to switch us into each other's bodies." I put it all out on the table, knowing he'll reject the idea.

He laughs. "Me in your body? Absolutely not! No way in h*ll that's happening! I don't know if you've realized how little I like you or not, but I'd rather be colored pink than be you."

I shrug. "Okay, then I guess I'll just have to use that tiny chip I implanted in your girlfriend. Your call."

He narrows his eyes. "What chip?"

I keep my voice low. "The one that allows me to control her mind and every move. I can make her do anything I want."

"You b*****d!" His voice grew deep and angry, not his usual mocking jokester tone. I had his attention now.

"I won't have to use it unless you make me." I warn him.

"She's never going to believe you're me. She's way too smart for that. It won't work." He says, exasperated.

I stop him from going any further down that rabbit hole. "That's for me to worry about. All you need to worry about is convincing Wishes you're me."

"Do you have any idea how hard that's going to be for me?! We're nothing alike." His voice comes out strained.
