Naomi and I were on our way home from a stagecoach run when we waylaid by some bank robbers. Naomi was knocked unconscious and I was taken hostage. When Naomi came to she hurried home and found Ike. He and I have been working on building a house of our own when she told him I was kidnapped. Ike immediately came looking for me. He would not rest until I was back safe and sound. Everyone pitched looking for me. Meanwhile I worked myself free from my binds and I escaped. I rode all night and didn't realize just how far home was until I no longer had food or water. I collapsed from the heat just Ike and buck found me. Ike jumped down from his horse and quickly scooped me up in his arms and wouldn't let go until we were safely back in Sweetwater. Sheriff cain found the bandits and hung them. I was very sick for awhile and Ike was worried sick about me. He helped Naomi nurse me back to health and as soon as I was well again we got married and moved into our own little house. We had a wonderful fall wedding, I will always cherish our wedding day. Naomi and Jane shared the maid of honor duties and Buck and Jimmy shared the groomsmen duties. Ike looked absolutely handsome in a black tuxedo with a magnolia in his buttonier and a matching black bandana. I wore a sweet white wedding dress and my red wavy hair was neatly pulled into a romance bun with a few stray curls framing my face and baby's breath was intertwined in the bun. I held a bouquet of lavender and gardenias. My brother Chris walked me down the aisle. I smiled lovingly at Ike as I walked down the aisle towards him he smiled back as he took my hand in his. Sheriff cain officiated ceremony and we signed our vows and exchanged the rings. Sheriff cain pronounced us Man and Wife, Our first kiss as a married couple seemed even more powerful. We had a wonderful reception and honeymoon.
